for those who are wondering why u have 6 sc at the end for row 6, its because you forgot the 1sc after crocheting the last gill on each side. it would be 1sc + 9sc = 10sc

This is such a great and easy video to follow since I'm making this for my best friend's birthday gift. Did my first one a little wonky with the gils cause I didn't chain tight enough and he's SUPER tiny from what I expected. I'm redoing it right now but it some bigger measurements and now he's chunky but still so cute. Gonna do the strawberry turtle for my friend next year and the Toothless dragon for myself soon.

Never been able to read a pattern, and now i think i finally understand after watching this video. I did watch it twice before i tried and just finished up my axolotl. I didnt have the right yarn, but I didnt want to buy some if i couldnt get it. And i also do not have eyes so my axolotl is blind. But I might actually buy the correct stuff to try again. Thank you!

I didn’t have a row marker, so I just counted the entire thing out as I was crocheting. As a result it kinda looks like mine’s tilting his head at you. I also went over the frill on the tail again to make it extra poofy cause I used acrylic yarn (if you’ve ever made one of those little headphone plant things I did it in the same way you make the leaves). Overall, a very good pattern! As a beginner crocheter it was very easy to understand, and I learned how to bobble stitch because of it it 👍
