Cute bags! My favourite cotton is Lion Brand 24/7 - it has a slight sheen and it doesn't split. I am a second grade teacher and I will be glad to return the children to their parents for the summer. I will get SO much more crochet done. My daughters are 25 and 26, but I do remember how having them home changed my priorities.

If you want a nice soft 100% cotton yarn My favorite so far is Hobby Lobby “I love this Cotton” i love that they have solid colors as well as some beautiful multi colored color-ways. It is usually 3.99 but is on sale every other week for 30% off. I typically get 2 bandanas and two or three freezer pop holders from them. Although some of the color-ways it is better to make a nice coaster or two from the remaining as they aren’t “kid colors “ but some are in bright rainbow like colors and those are great for freezer pop holders. The yarn has a great drape. If you want something a bit stiffer but not quite as stiff as something like Sugar & cream then either Joanns Big Twist cotton/poly blend is really nice or even hobby lobby crafters secret. (I have not yet tried yarn bees fundamental cotton yarn) Fyi for any beginners out there. Always check the label of cotton yarn to be sure it is 100% cotton if you are making something that can go in the microwave. And also never use mercerized cotton for that purpose. Love these bags!
