During our stay a month back at Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground & Resort, both Crockett's Tavern and Trail's End were closed for refurbishment. Recently both have reopened and while Trails End has been converted from a sit-down restaurant to a quick service eatery, Crockett's Tavern has maintained its classic western charm and added some new bites to freshen up its menu.
We took the boat over from Disney's Magic Kingdom to see what we were missing out on during our stay. The menu had some intriguing new options like Blueberry BBQ Sauce Chicken Bites. We go over our favorites, thoughts and provide a small tour of this Davey Crockett inspired western tavern.

blueberry chicken sounds very strange but sometimes strange is good &those sliders look very good love the house dips sounds like the chefs cared about the true nature of downhome food love it🥰banana pudding is yum😋glad its delicious.

The blueberry is mixed in the bbq sauce! I did not expect to like it at all, but it was sooo good. We love a good house made dip. I wish they sold the Ranch separately lol Thanks for watching!

I wish these were open when we stayed. Unfortunately everything was grab and go still but I do remember the food that we did get being very good . I love this resort it is definitely one of my favorite places to stay in Disney.

Same with us! Food was solid and the resort has such a unique atmosphere. There's no Disney resort like it. We all have to do Hoop together one day.

I had never even heard of this spot until this video! How fun! Love that they have no-jito's! Blueberry bbq sauce sounds interesting, Greg hates blueberry but I think I would have needed to try it too just because it's different. The sliders look delicious, glad the flavour combination of the meats were all good. 8 out of 10 is a good score but too bad the buns were stale. Oh my. goodness the cornbread Mickey's on the charcuterie are so cute. Another 8 is a good score! I love goat cheese but it's definitely not for everyone. The mason jar desserts are really cute. Awesome review as always! :) I can't believe I hadn't heard of this spot before lol!

Fort Wilderness has such unique food options- we love it there. I 99% thought I was going to dislike the blueberry bites but they ended up being delicious. Always a sucker for Mickey shaped foods. Thanks so much for watching Meg :)

The theming here is incredible! Some of the best on WDW property, if I do say so myself. There’s a lot of detail hidden in the ceiling and the dark corners. 😁 Glad to hear that the sliders and the drinks are on point! Blueberry BBQ sauce sounds like a monstrosity to me, but, hey, I’ll try anything once! Not surprised at all to hear that the brisket outperformed Roundup Rodeo, and Goat cheese is always a 10 for me. I am gonna go ahead and say that the cornbread Mickey’s may not be “hidden” so much as “shaped”, though 😂 And hey, woah, I will not tolerate Rainforest Cafe slander! ….though I will concede that their desserts are not the strongest in the kingdom. The shortcake probably wins that battle 😜 Great video, guys! That sunset was straight fire.

These early Disney Resorts are like walking attractions or theme parks in and of themselves. Always plenty of hidden details to find and experience each visit. We were hesitant to try the blueberry bbq sauce but we'd actually consider buying a bottle now. It was great! BBQ was better than Round Up Rodeo for us but we're willing to give Andy's toys another shot. We did give Rainforest Cafe a pretty positive review on our visit but the dessert was a serious let down for us. These were good but the Banana Pudding shined. Thank you 😃. Taking the boat back to Magic Kingdom felt like real Disney Magic.

Jay, you should listen to Sam when she corrects your food descriptions (tomato paste)... She often has to correct you more than once! But I love your vlogs - both of you are very watchable 😊

I think when when filming we're focusing on we're going to say next and sometimes aren't in the moment listening to what's being said. I also think sometimes he says things wrong just to mess with me LOL I try to correct only because people will leave angry comments if we don't haha We appreciate your support, thanks for watching :)
