Catherine, I made this twice and it was absolutely delicious both times! The first time, I followed your recipe to the letter without any devitions at all. However, I tried adding an extra can of cream of (onion) soup the second time, and I found that I didn't need to thicken the gravy as the cream soup made it thick enough without needing any additional thickening. I also didn't pre-brown the pork chops the second time, and I can honestly say I didn't feel the pre-browning added anything since they're in the crock-pot so long, they seemed to absorb all the yummy flavors on their own thanks to the help of the crock-pot. I also made some rice when they were almost done, and used pure chicken broth in the rice instead of water, and then dumped the finished rice into the crock-pot with the pork chops and the gravy, and it was truly a wonderful dish! THANK YOU for sharing this with us, I found it most wonderful! The next time I make it, I think I might put a few dollops of sour cream in with the whole thing, and chop up some chives or parsley and that will take it away! This is definitely one of my must-have recipes that I will now start making over and over again thanks to you and your wonderful channel!!! :) THANK YOU!!!!

Catherine - thanks for always posting down to earth real life recipes that people can actually use (and enjoy!) Gravy is a "beverage" in my house! LOL Looks so yum! My fave pork chop recipe is similar.... S&P and dust chops with flour and fry, layer in baking pan. Mix Campbell's French onion soup and cream of mushroom un-diluted (but I remember you don't like mushrooms), cover and bake 325 for 1 and 1/2 hours.

This looks so amazing. I am planning this for our next weekend meal. It's just my Pop and me, but he and I should be able to devour six porkchops made this way, pretty easily. I have to say that I'll be tweaking your recipe a bit. Cream of Mushroom instead of Chicken, boneless chops instead of bone-in. The way you've structured this recipe, it seems pretty versatile, which is awesome. In future rounds, I may tinker and add veggies. Anyway, thank you for such a great recipe. I love your channel. This looks so yummy! Another comforting dish. I love browning pork chops in butter. The smell is incredible and this step really seals in the flavor and juices. Sometimes when making a pork dish I'll use pork steaks (not boneless) and it ends up with more flavor and is even more tender. To me pork steaks are kind of like the dark meat of chicken and pork chops are like the white meat. Both are good but pork steaks have even more flavor and are usually cheaper. And either way you do it, this is a great recipe! Thanks Catherine, you're already in the kitchen making us hungry! 😜

I just made this recipe for my husband and I tonight and it’s sooo good! My husband won’t eat anything with onions in it. I left out the onion soup mix and it’s now going on the menu rotation. It’s really easy to make. It literally takes no more than maybe 10 minutes to prepare it then you put it in the crockpot. Then 30 minutes before it’s done make the potatoes. Love this recipe!!

Like the recipe but I made gravy with the left over bits after cooking the chops and added it made them taste a lot better.

So made this tonight and my picky son ate 2 pork chops then dipped his broccoli in gravy that I took as a win as he ate broccoli. I did not have jar or gravy kit put in a dry packet and half a can of water. Then I did thicken it with the slurry when done. Well definitely make this again
