This turned out to be one of the highest grossing movies of 1986. It wasn't expected, at least by the "Critics" to do nearly as well as it did. I think it's listed as a "Sleeper" hit. It made well over $320,000,000 at the Box Office, and critics were absolutely stunned as to how well it did at the Box Office. Another "Sleeper" hit that I can think of, comes from 1988. It's a little movie that you might have heard of-Beetlejuice. It made, I think, between $80,000,000-$90,000,000 at the Box Office. A lot of critics didn't like that movie, either, but hey-What do the critics know? They're just paid to take movies that they don't like, and rip them apart. In at least some cases, critics ain't nothing but a bunch of losers!

@@matth1143 Man, that stinks, just finding out that this Gentleman passed away. He was a laugh riot here as Dan the Italian. In this character, he kept trying to tell Mick that the "Lady" was actually a guy! Back then, you'd see one once in a while. Now, they're everywhere! Oh, well...it is what it is, I guess. Anyway-Mick decides to "Test the waters", by doing a Crotch check...and sure enough-The "Lady's" an actual guy!!! That scene was not only hilarious, but it made for a great scene! Than, here we go with the two "Ladies of the Night", Carla and Simone. (Personally, I'd take that hot blonde, Carla, anyday)! She's gorgeous! (I don't think I'm in love with her-I KNOW I am)!!! She's got everything that I'm looking for in a Woman! Beautiful looks, gorgeous blonde hair, a naughty, but winning, personality, and a beautiful body that never says "Stop"! You can have Simone, if you want her. She's very beautiful, don't get me wrong, but, for me, it's that gorgeous Carla that's my personal show-stealer!

I liked the scene where Dundee comes across a guy at a party doing lines of coke. Assuming it's some kinda remedy for nasal congestion (the guy does seem really stopped up) Mick suggests he put the coke in a pot of boiling water and inhale the vapors with a towel over his head. Guy figures: "Maybe this is some better high", and goes along with it.

I don't know why but in today's world alot of people out there are to up themselves including Movie directors back in the days people didn't give a Damme what they were witching as long it wasn't to violent but if you say the movie is violent you got to be mad and crazy because at the movies this Movie wasn't even classified as a R18 Adults only even in the video shops plus I've been to walk about creek in northwest of Queensland During the 80s as well as the 90s so Australia is Australia especially when it comes to the Local Aborigines witch alot of white Australians complaineds About all the time and if they don't like it go to another country and say say this to there face because tell you the truth some Australians thinks there crap doesn't smell.

I used to go the bar a lot back in the 80s. Lived at 315 Ave C 8th floor, overlooking the East River. FDR drive running right by. A Paul Newman movie had scenes at the same bar - The Verdict. Ave B was practically lined with fake convenience stores that sold drugs. Tompkins Square Park (needle park) was right by the bar too. Crazy times!!
