Hi, Jeremy! Thanks very much for this video. A couple of months ago, my fiance and my brother got me the exact board you have in this video and we've been having a blast with it! I had noticed it was slowing down and wondering how to re-wax it, so this is just what the doctor ordered. Thanks so much for the high-quality board!

I just purchased my very first board and YOUR red board from BrownCastleUS and it should come in a few days! Can’t wait. Had no idea this would be one of yours. Thought the name was just a model of theirs. Nice! Anyway… SHAKE THAT BOTTLE before use. Great tips… binging your channel this weekend.

I've hung 2 crokinole boards without problem. The first was lighter and cheaper and I used a keyhole hanger that I believe was rated for 20 pounds. The current one is hung with a 4 inch z-hanger, which is also known as a french cleat. I'm pretty sure I could hang myself off of one of those and it wouldn't come out. You either need to hit at least one stud with the z-hanger, or use some solid drywall anchors. But! You will have to put screws into the underside of your board. This clearly makes people twitchy. And because you'll have something on the back of your board, you'll have to put some kind of feet on the board. I use stick on silicone feet. The bonus to this is if someone spills a drink on the table, I don't have to lunge over and lift up the board. All the liquid goes under the board because it's lifted on feet. Plus it doesn't slide around as much on the table.

hey jeremy, i purchased this exact version of the mothers spray wax, but apparently people are saying it's actually the STEP 3 pure carnuba paste wax mothers that is what should be used. apparently this spray stuff has cleaner in it whereas the step 3 mothers does not. i am also using turtle wax as it is similar to mothers step 3.

Hey buddy love the videos, just got a board myself and I’ve been playing every day now and I got a quick question for you. I bought the “world-famous board”or as it’s known on the manufacturers website as the “tournament board” in a natural color. I purchased it from crokinole Canada from Ted. Couldn’t be happier with it and here’s my question: how would I go about painting the ditch a deep blue color over the finished MDF surface. Just degloss it, then paint, then polyurethane it?Would much appreciate some advice. Thanks!

sorry, didn't see this until now. I am not 100% sure which board you are talking about but glad you are happy with it. As for painting the ditch my advice would be to not. with our boards we paint the ditch before anything else happens. before the rail goes on, before the top and before lacquer. taping that off will be a nightmare and I don't know how you will go about getting your paint to stick to a lacquered surface.

Love your videos! Just curious is there a reason you are doing live streams now? My 2 cents is I'd much prefer the quality of your recorded videos as you did prior. Either way thanks for the tips and videos 👍

I prefer the higher quality edited videos too Sam. We have been so busy with orders, which is awesome, that the time to record and edit and post videos just hasn't been happening. I made the decision that getting these up is better than not getting anything posted at all. The plan is to get back to the old way of doing things once I get some things in order with production to free up my time and energy. For now we are just placing higher priority on the back log of orders :-)

Super helpful video, thanks! If you could let us know the exact details of the spray wax you showed, then I can start the hunt for it here in the UK! Any relevant info on the carnauba paste wax would also be great!

I have a question unrelated to this video. Is there a min/max height that the board should be to play? I see that the boards are playe3d at different tables that vary in height. Thank you.

Typically in the neighbourhood of 30" But of course, if you're sitting on a bar stool that would be challenging...

not really maintenance but can I upgrade my center pegs on my board from push in pegs to screw in rubber ones?

it is possible for sure. We do sell those but we don't even have them on the website, not sure why, just never got around to putting them up. Couple things to watch for. the board needs to be thick enough that the tip of the screw doesn't come out the underside (that only applies to super thin boards really). the other os that sometime the hole will need to be drilled before the screw with the rubber can go in. if its a tiny peg currently then jamming a larger screw in without pre drilling can be problematic.

custom order a board with a larger centre hole... or you can order smaller buttons. We don't sell them but they are out there. Or on Thursday night we can talk some high level skill building :-)

I have a question. What is crokinole playing wax? Is it just shuffleboard powder? Like sunglo shuffleboard powder #2 is what i ended up getting.

Capo fast shuffleboard wax. Do not buy the ultra fast. You can get it at crokinolegameboards.com, crokinole.ca or from home hardware.

Do you have a opinion on other powders? I just saw the video of you and cook in budapest, im getting my first board next month but since im from Belgium shipping costs kills allot of options. Cant find the wax here any where but i can find gliss powder, carrom powder or just potato statch the last i believe is what you got to use at budapest? So is any of them a good substitute or any input of your knowledge for eu residents ? Realy love your channel and this vid helped alot so i know how too treat my board when i get it, im so exited to get my crokinole journey on the way!

@@robinvs01rvs when I played in Budapest they used a potatoe starch as powder which took a bit of getting used to but it did work quite well on their boards with their discs. I prefer the capo fast shuffle board wax but that is partly because that is just what I am used to using.

Can you use Mothers to wax a Carrom board, and it's pieces? How much are your Crokinole Boards?

It depends on the finish of your carrom board. I think it is probably OK but I highly recommend checking with the manufacturer. That spray works fantastically on our boards but I can't speak for other surfaces. www.crokinolegameboards.com to check out our boards. They are 300CAD or 325CAD for the grey rock.

not as often as the board usually but yes, it can be a good idea to wax the discs.

It's Capo brand fast shuffleboard wax. Do not buy ultra fast. You can buy it at home hardware.
