Im not trying to be rude. Im just offering my understanding. I may have been only doing this for work for 10yrs, but ive been doing it all my life, over 2 generations beyond myself. Best compliment i ever got was from a riverbottom farmer. "Yeh know? Idk how you hill farmers raise anything but a sweat! But by God, you do, you do!... takes some know how in them clay hows. Idk how your crops dont just all burn up!" Best compliment my family ever received in regards to professionalism imo.

Ending. Good leafy green! Ignore my earlier comment about spikey. Cultivation mustve open dirt to roots, or you had some rain. Multiple day rains. Because if overcompacted a single 2 in would good for about a day.

I was watching one of your older vids, and just wanted to come comment that i appreciate you sharing the tips and knowledge. (Hydraulic pump on 4430). Ive yet to check it all out yet. But youve given me a fantastic starting point. And an overall increased understanding. I pick up mechanical repairs/troubleshooting quick. But i like having an idea how deep a thing is before i jump off in to it. You made a description of starting the 4430 and the possible hudraulic issues. Shows you know what youre talking about! You earned a sub!

Looks like great progress overall. Don't worry about "eyesore from the road"; that's a game too many try to play. Prior crop volunteer seed that comes up are your hardy survivors; collect seed from them and replant and you'll have a crop that is stronger than weeds because that's how the weeds got so strong. Look up Lofthouse Landrace and Fukuoka Revolution.

Good news, youre prolly a better mechanic than farmer. (Not saying youre bad at farming! I've watched 3 vids! So i know nothing of you!!!) I also dont know your areas soil type, or weather patterns, so you could actually be doing a phenomenal job at raising crop! None of ot looks bad! Well, spikey corn for a bit. We call it pineapple leaf.but it definitely pulled out of it! Your mechanic tips seem phenomenal tho! I can usually figure a thing out, but! Having to tear it down, "is this wise? Am i tearing apart something i cant fix?" Never been an issue before, bit when i did those sort of things, i didnt have to answer to anyone. Annnd! Ive never had to be the 50$ surcharge at mechanics "if you worked on it first."🤣

"Best beans the one you spill", well...yes... they look the best early on. They are competing for growth. Theyll yield less id wager. Yes, monitor may show uptick, but first! Lets hope they dont grow so tall they dont fall down. Then, lets hope they actually fill out their pods equal to thinner areas. This is my worry with my misfuncting drill. Too heavy! Tall beans! Fall over! And not filled out pods! Gotta check top pod to bottom pod. Vs same to proper rate bean. Proper rate easier to harvest. More equal fullness. Plant may not look as impressive, but bean seed what we after! Not bean plant! Thays just more wear and tear through the rotor.

Ash content. Have your feed tested. I dont scalp because in our soil it would add a lot to the ash content. I dont sell much hay, but some buyers are aware of ash content and get fussy. From a plant perspective, the shorter you cut it the longer it takes to regrow. That's why for grazing if you take the top 30% the plant immediately grows back and you can be back on that spot sooner. If you take the top 75% it can take up to 2 weeks for the plant to start growing back.

Our country is in a sad state and we have nobody to blame but ourselves. We don't pay attention to what our erected officials are doing and we don't hold them accountable by voting them out. The other sad fact is we learned to vote ourselves money and now its time to pay the piper but nobody wants to pay. It sure looks like you are going to be able to salvage the season. If your current corn showing at 8:33 yields well this fall using vr and v5 I'll definitely be interested. I'm guessing you're further north than me. However, as a solo on 500acres I've got some about that stage... less pineapple affect tho. Still late planted. Compaction of ground for roots is something to consider with no till. Why you may be pineapple affect. Spikey leaves. Plant is stressed. Either compaction or planted wet. Idk your soil type. Makes all the difference. Could be dry? But I doubt it. Heat yes. But 97° high humidity our field, big broad deep green leafs. Neighbors. Planted within 3 days, but they worked ground sooner and planted sooner. Look spikey. That's stress on plant. Some say good... depends how year goes. In a wet year like this, not as good. If it turns dry, maybe. I'm pretty sure my corn will do well. Beans, remain to be seen!🤣
