CROSS: "I just killed a man... It was the most traumatic event of my life." On cross-examination, #TravisMcMichael admits his statement to police was inaccurate because he was stressed about the killing, not about going to jail for murder. Travis McMichael chased and killed 25-year-old #AhmaudArbery, who was jogging in the neighborhood. On direct, McMichael claimed it was self-defense.

Why should they mind their own business when there's opportunity to ambush someone they felt that shouldn't have been in their neighborhood. Crap like this happens every day with the exception of a murder that's publicize it's either harassment or some kinda way to sabotage black people's peace of mind.

She knew exactly how to get him not only to ADMIT to key aspects of multiple charges, but to INSIST upon them. By letting him think he was pushing back against the questioning, she got him to INSIST, on the stand, that he had no valid claim to self defense.

@@RedPillHood The biased assumption was what led the two men to start chasing a black man under questionable circumstances. However, the state of mind when Travis pulled the trigger is key here. It MAY have been an auto reflex reaction, an instinctive self-defense response when someone turns to confront you and grab your gun. This doesn't get the Ms off the hook. But it creates obvious reasonable doubt regarding malice murder versus 2nd degree murder or manslaughter, or the equivalent thereof in Georgia. I fail to see how we can rule this possibility out. That's the real problem with Racism White Supremacy: racism was and still is legal in many areas of society. Therefore, yes people had to plead with the authorities to charge these men. And in many other instances, people have protested, marched, and pled with authorities to charge people for killing Blacks. When Blacks kill or commit crimes, we are charged immediately and typically harsher sentences than whites. This was a rare case of justice being served. Majority of the time, people get away with killing Blacks.

Everyone that has a complexion breathes a sigh of relief when we get pulled over and a non-white cop gets out of the police car. Racist police are more dangerous than the Travis Mcmichael's of this society.

Sounds like his snitching on himself 😁 he agreed with his own words, Ahmaud wasn’t a threat, Ahmaud had no weapons and he further stated how he used his car in so many words to harass him because Ahmaud didn’t want to talk to him...so, what’s the defense again? Self defense? 😁 this prosecutor is on her A game!

@Kenneth Showalter since you know the law, what’s the appropriate charge for 3 men that chased this man for 5 min in trucks, verbally threatened him, physically assaulted him, blocked his path, pointed a shotgun at him and closed ground as he continued to try and runaway? Because all of that surely makes this sound like a murder caused by their actions...but perhaps you can educate us, the lawyers and the judge.

Another interesting moment was when Ms. Perez (the neighbor) testified that she had to warn the McMichaels that her husband was at the construction site because she was afraid that the McMicheals would mistake him for a trespasser and shoot him. This suggests that Ms. Perez believed that the McMichaels were trigger happy. This was a golden moment for the prosecution. I hope that the jury was paying attention to that and that the prosecution emphasizes this in its closing.

@@roxannecarpenter6668 The civil lawsuit is likely coming to pulverise what is left of the McMichael assets after this trial and to also flesh out other family members who are criminally culpable. There may be room to call these two as witnesses in those proceedings, after which criminal charges could come. The prosecution may be waiting to allow the Arbery family time to file a wrongful death case now that the guilty verdict is in, from which the prosecution gets a free first run at these two before bringing up charges against them. This is all conjecture on my part, of course, but I hope it plays out that way.
