After an incredible month exploring the country of Vietnam it is time to say goodbye and find our next adventure in our next country. And to do this we have to do a 26 hour BUS journey through the mountains to the capital of Laos.
Was this bumpy, long drive worth it? You're going to have to stay tuned to see if the budget friendly way of travelling is worth it!!

Hey, we're Eoin and Aisling, a couple from Ireland who have packed their bags, waved goodbye to home and set off to travel the world in search of new adventures!
We started our journey by spending 3 months walking from the top to the bottom of Croatia and exploring a few of the boarding countries. Then at the start of January 2022 we hopped on a flight to South East Asia! So stay tuned to see where we might end up...

What land border crossing did you take to cross into Laos? Also, did you depart from Hanoi?

So sorry I missed your comment. I believe it was Keo Nua Pass (also known as Cau Treo) and yes from the old quarter

I am planning to do this also within the year. May I ask where you booked your bus tickets and do you know if there is only one bus leaving per day from Hanoi to Vientiane? Thank you!

Hey! I think it was only the one bus leaving per day and it was with sinh travel in Hanoi. You can find their office in the old quarter, by far one of the cheapest companies when we priced around

So we got a mini bus from the old quarter in hanoi for about 45minutes then we pulled over on the side of a main road and got onto a big bus haha no stations involved it was quite straight 😂

Details. People want DETAILS ABOUT THE TRIP, they really don’t care about your hungover boyfriend or if there is a toilet on the bus.

wasn’t hungover, was genuinely sick. A toilet on the bus is quite a key detail for most people. Sorry we clearly didn’t hit the mark for you but can’t win them all
