Crossing the Mexican Border to Rosarito Mexico 🇲🇽

Our journey starts in San Ysidro Ca, the border town of Tijuana Mexico. We cross the Mexico border heading towards the small town of Rosarito to explore what it has to offer and enjoy amazing food and learn the culture.

How much Toll did you pay on the way to Rosarito? If you drove on Mexican Freeway 1, obviously you had to pay aToll leaving Tijuana and to enter Rosarito.

Don’t remember exactly but no more than. $1.50 usd and I think there were two along the way

How about car insurance? Did you have to purchase extra one ? BTW great video 👍🏻

Yes it’s mandatory to have Mexican car insurance. We looked up the popular ones online and chose one of them. A lot of people say they went without it but we just got it in case of anything. It was around $130 or so for the days we were there. They drive crazy out there so glad we had it. Thanks glad you enjoyed the video :)

For someone like me(Who carries Allstate Insurance) I won't have to a penny for Insurance driving to Rosarito since Allstate covers me as far South as 75 miles past the border. Even if I was in Ensenada I would be covered. Further South, time to invest in Mexican Auto Insurance.

Maybe we can take Uber to the border, walk over the border by foot ( how far is it? We are seniors). After we crossed over the border , can we get a Uber to take us to our Airbnb? Can the Uber take us back to the border when returning back to USA, does the crossing by foot take a long time to return home? Thank you, ❤I do enjoy your videos.

Yes it is possible to walk across the border by foot. We haven’t personally done it but we have seen people do it. Probably about an hour to cross to Mexico and about 2-3hrs to cross back to USA because they are more strict and long lines. I’m sure Uber could take you as long as it is not to far. Glad you enjoy the videos

Walking across can be even easier if you have Global Entry - costs $100 but is valid for 10 years. You get to skip the line coming back in to the US. You can also use it airports when coming back the US from international destinations. Expedites things.
