Hello, I got a question : how do you manage to make the first ply adhesion or even the adhesion between plies with dry fibers ?

Dear Nivine, The dry fibers have been processed beforehand. On another machine (see UD fix Tow Line) we spread the fibers and add binder powder. The dry fibers become a so called “fixTow”. The powder is heated up in the laying process. The fixTow becomes sticky and adheres to a glass cloth substrate or the plies adhere to each other.
