The Zonai are quite the enigma in Breath of the Wild, but can we use ONLY the loot from their 3 labyrinths to clear these structures out and beat the game? ...All before the very first Blood Moon??

It is soul crushing to die to Dark Beast because it's so easy and it's right after the boss rush. Watching you die inside and then light up when the autosave loaded was great.

When the chat was freaking out AAAAH THE BLOOD MOON that was the scariest part of the run and that dark beast death, this is perfect for the final challenge run for a while!

Croton using up too many arrows, having no hope, then finding that ancient arrow in the grass has to be the most anime thing I have ever seen.

I really love the look of the Barbarian armor in BOTW, especially with the Lynel or Boko gear.

Perfect encapsulation of this game: going wherever at the start with nothing but your pure gamer skill, using the game's physics/chemistry/AI engines to find creative solutions to intricate problems, and clutching a hard boss only to lose at Dark Beast.

Of all the places in BOTW's Hyrule, the Lomei Labyrinths were among the places I explored the least, as I only went there for the shrines and armor. So seeing all the treasure and enemies they had in store was pretty fascinating! Thanks for all the challenge runs and stat videos you made for Breath of the WIld, Croton! And see you soon for Tears of the Kingdom!

Awesome! A new one before jump to the new world. Can't wait to see videos like "can you BEAT TOTK using only [...]", like Amiibo Run, No Fuse Run, Only fuse with X stuff, No UltraHand, etc etc etc.

You could have used the flame sword as heat. If you have it equipped while in the cold, it will warm you up a bit. Same as if you hold a frost sword in the heat, it will cool you down. This works with any flame or frost weapons. I hope this will help people out for their challenges!

Carrying a flame weapon only counts for 1 level of cold resistance (unlike holding a lit torch, which counts as 2), which isn't really useful here since there's not much to combine it with. I guess he could've made multiple level 1 elixirs instead of a single level 2 one, but I'm not sure if it would've had any longer total duration.

This was such a fun challenge run to watch live as there were so many great moments. You did a fantastic job editing and picking the very best of those moments, something that I’m sure wasn’t easy. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time even though I already knew what was going to happen. Can’t wait to see what you come up with for Tears of the Kingdom!! 🏰

Incredible video, it was very fun to watch. But when you were in north lomei I was always thinking "can't you equip the great flameblade for heat?" Because, that's what I thought. But I like the way you took took away divine beats and found ways to skip bow of light! All in all, really like the series!

Can't you hold a flame sword on your back to cancel out cold? Or was it too cold in that region for that to work? Wondering if he could've avoided the torch shenanigans in the icy maze.

I think it is too cold I know flameblade only does 1 level of cold resist and I think the labyrinth is level 2 cold

In the cold areas you could have kept the flameblade equipped it can also keep you warm.

I didn’t know you start at dark beast if you die either! This game never runs out of secrets. Also for the cold area you could have weapon smuggled the torch, this allows you to hold weapons in animations normally forbidding you to do so

Hey Croton, one idea i have for a "I beat BOTW with only BLANK gear." Playing the Game as a Lynel You can only use Barbarian Armor and Leggings & Lynel Helm You can only use Lynel Weapons, Shields, and Bows You have to beat all Divine Beasts You have to kill All 22-23 Lynels on the Map (Depends on if Master Mode is on or not) You have to complete every Maze from the beginning with No help You can Only use Savage Lynel Weapons Three times for each Savage Item You have to collect All Lynel Weapon/Bow/Shields If you want to do this, I think it would be a good idea for a video

I did a Lynel only run actually, it's only possible on Master Mode. There's some regular enemies in the game that carry Lynel weapons, but they're only on Master Mode platforms. There's around 4-5 Bokoblins/Lizalfos that carry Lynel bows and a single Lynel spear (thank goodness they respawn with the Blood Moon). You have to blow up the platforms with bombs and the Bokoblins that have the bows will fall and drown, but you have to shoot the Lizalfos that has the spear with the bow to kill it. And then you can take a level 3 attack buff to the Zora's domain Lynel, give it some headshots with the bows and arrows you've collected, jump on its back and hit it with the spear, do this enough times for its sword to kill it, and then you can repeat this for every Lynel you face, using the higher damage weapons you get each time.
