The way the formula looks is overly complicated. It could be much simpler, but it makes me think it might be slightly wrong with an off by 1 error. This formula: MIN(1, Floor((Attack - Guard)/5)) Seems so much simpler, but has the damage done shifted by 1. So if your guard + 9 is greater or equal to the attack damage, it does 1 durability point; but if the attack is at 10 points more than the guard, then it would do 2 points of durability damage.
