Being a Portuguese speaker, even though I understand English I still prefer to listen to music in Japanese. It's much more touching. My opinion.

as an indonesian native. i grow watching many anime, i think the original japanese version touch my heart but i only mesmerizing it, this english version make me understand the meaning of this song but still jp version better ❤

The English version is certainly just as great as the Japanese one, but I would say that they are vastly different. The Japanese version mainly consists of pent-up emotions and pain, while the English version has some feeling of relief to it. Very poetic in it’s own way, because this song was the one that got UPIKO more recognition, and I can’t help but sense her joy behind this English version. I am so happy for this success, hope you get more recognition you deserve for you work which touches hearts. 💙

富士五湖地域に暮らすオジサンです。実は二年程前から、うぴ子さんに注目してきました。初めて「ファイト」を聞いた瞬間、『むむ……この人の低音ビブラートは、心の弱った人の気持ちを揺さぶる力がある。』『日本語の解らない外国人の気持ちを揺さぶる力がある』、『説得力のあるオリジナル曲さえ、リリース出来れば、おそらくブレイクするだろう』 ……と、直ぐに直感が働きました。それから２年、色々聞かせてもらってきました。今、まさしく『ブレイクの瞬間』に居合わせているわけで、隠れファンとしては嬉しいやら……遠くへ行ってしまうようで寂しいやら…… 何とも非常に複雑な心境です。どう考えてもメキシコ、中南米、アメリカ辺りでウケる曲ですよね。軽く1000万再生は行けるでしょう。「人間椅子」の『無情のスキャット』が3年未満で1000万再生でしたから、それより早いペースで達成できる気がします。アニメのタイアップなら、それ以上の再生回数はいけるでしょうが…… むしろ「ハリウッド」の『麻薬戦争を描いた映画のエンディング曲』として採用して貰えれば、「最高の出来映えの曲」なので、ここはマネージャーに必死に頑張って働いて貰って、一億再生を狙ってみたらどうでしょう？普通の歌では滅多に誉めない『耳の肥えた毒舌音楽マニア』が言うんだから、間違いない。マネージャー…… ここが正念場、頑張って！ ……＼(^^)／本来の歌詞を正確に翻訳されているのにも、大変驚きました。翻訳者さんにも、非常に敬服しております。ブレイク直前の『目黒ブルースアレイ』には、何としても行かねば…… と考えていますので、少々変なロックンロールオジサンが現れるか知れないけど、拒否らないで入れて貰えますでしょうか？そこを何とか、ヨロシクお願いします。じゃあね……_(^^;)ゞ

英語版をフルで聴くとなかなかいいですね。日本語で作ったメロディーに同じ意味で英語の歌詞を付けるのってすごく大変だったと思います。でもそれをこなしてしまううぴ子さんには熱い情熱を感じます。これで更に海外の人にもっと注目されてカラス以外の曲にも興味を持って欲しいと思います。世界にはばたけ🐦🕊🦅

I had found the Japanese version of this quite a few months ago and it meant so much to me. I listened to it on repeat so much. At one point it almost sounded like I was singing along. I’ve struggled in life for as long as I could remember and no song really described how I felt until I found this one. Thank you Upiko. Your song has moved me in an unimaginable way.❤️

I don't understand Japanese very well (to be honest just a bunch of words), but when I listened to the Japanese version I was like, holy moly, this hits hard. Now that it is in English, I can definitely say that it indeed hits hard. Awesome work and love your voice!
