I have lil bros at age 18 and 20, they played a lot of cod and Skyrim. They haven’t played game that released finished and working properly in their entire life. It was heart wrenching one Christmas. I bought them Cod for Christmas and we sat there watching it download slowly and after that game crashed and throw them out from lobby etc. I asked are they sad, they answered a little but it’s normal for the game not work. Imagine 10 and 12 yr olds already accepted this concept of modern gaming industry and just roll with it because they don’t know better. That’s how generation changes and society follows behind. So sad that our beloved hobby is now tarnished. I don’t buy Bethesda or cdpr products, I will not succumb for their business model

Some of my recent preorder (or games I bought day one): The Legend of heroes : Trails of the Cold steel 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 The Legend of heroes : Trails into Reverie Yakuza Kiwami Yakuza Kiwami 2 Persona 4 Golden PC 2020 version Persona 5 Persona 5 Royal Nier Automata NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 Fire Emblem Three houses Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut (together with my PS5 console) etc and etc In conclusion , you are aware deep down that the preordering system is not the problem but the incompetent devs and people who keep trusting devs like EA , Ubisoft and CD project Red who also delivered witcher 3 which was also full of bugs and problematic marketing . As usual people never blame themselves or people who are truly responsible .

CP2077 is dogshit, but you braindead fangirls keep getting the details wrong. The only reason SOYNY pulled it from their stores, is to avoid processing refunds that CDPR claimed customers were entitled to. Not because SOYNY gives 2 shits about its customers, or game quality. Titles like BF2042, Gollum and Ass Effect Andromeda weren't pulled.

Yep, they found the cheat code for game dev: Hype the shit out of it, get maximum investment, release it with a fraction of what you promised and a ton of bugs, then say you're going to be the "good guys" and fix your game while pretending you care what the players think. I know I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. My biggest issue wasn’t the bugs, it’s the complete lack of life sim features they advertised. No buying an apartment/house, backstory is meaningless, deeper character relationships are barely explored outside of the main story.

I disagree. They should never had released the way they did. They ruined their reputation. Many people, including myself, hate them. They are getting sued by a class action lawsuit, sued by their investors, and the Polish government is investigating. It would have been so much better if they delayed the game a few more years.

2:25 lol the first time I saw the flat texture cars in the distance I had to double take in game and under my breath I just went "oohhhhhhh...noooooooo, what?!" I mean I get it, saves on a bit of memory but for real CDPR? Honestly at this point I'd have been fine with a playable demo and another year or so wait for the full game. But I think it kind of became clear that, as Witcher sales likely dwindled down after the Switch port, they were milking Witcher revenue to fuel Cyberpunk development and had to get this out the door quick to recoup or keep their distance from a break even point.

Even to this day they still never delivered their promises that got me so excited for the game. The trailers advertised gang factions and affiliation, all gangs are just generic enemy npcs. Riding roller coasters, interacting with street vendors, going to strip clubs, etc. still non existant. RDR2 is the gold standard of what a real open world game should be like.

I don't know what's wrong but it's wrong and I feel like everything is like that nowadays. Goods, food, car, phones.. everything is just quickly made by you don't know who, they don't care about you or the product, they don't care about the thing being pretty or of good quality, they just want the thing done and then run away. I mean look at a 1969 chevy impala and a nowadays impala, they ripped it's soul out by it's eye sockets and burned it with molten plastic

Not really. I don’t think they care. 8 million people preordered the game and they already made a substantial profit before you even played it. The gaming industry’s biggest fear: you didn’t preorder and now they have to actually convince you to buy the game to make a profit. They can easily trick people with fancy footages but they can’t trick you if you actually play it. Remember back when you were a kid in the 90s you come to your friends house and he got this new nes game and you’re like, “man I got to get this!” That’s no longer happening. Don’t preorder and you start to see better games.

I mean I love the witcher 3 and its my favorite single player of all time, but that shouldn't excuse cdpr for producing cyberBug. And yet, you'll find idiots defending it saying "oh but the game wasn't made to run on current gen hardware". As someone who owns a pretty powerful enough pc, I'd like to ask them, how come red dead 2,which looks better, runs just fine on base consoles? How come a game which began development 7 years ago, at a time when the current gen(ps4 and xbox one) were not even out , sucks so hard on the current gen? It was all hype. I bet they hired keanu, and THEN started development on the game. Those same idiots also say things like "oh but it's an rpg, you don't need to focus on npc ai, just focus on story". I'm like, if it's simply an rpg, why was it marketed as "the most lived-in feeling open world" by CDPR. GTA 1,LITERALLY THAT 32 BIT 2D TOP DOWN GAME, released 20+ years ago, has better ai than this garbage. Amazing.

I get that, it’s completely fair to still be angry about it. However, although it will still never be what it was promised to be, if you look at it for what it is instead of what it was supposed to be. Today, I’d argue it’s a pretty good game. They’ve fixed most of the bugs and added much needed features such as a full police system, revamped combat and apartments. So I’d say it’s fair to enjoy the game now.

If i know they cut some features that were promised, i don't pre order this game for $48.64 for sure. If the company's shares don't fall down 30 percent, it won't be fixed. It not consciousness It's just lost credibility and had to take a loss for fix it And they just making a few corrections fix some bug. Didn't follow the advertised thing, pay influencer to play "New game save". People stood and applauded became good company for some people. Woooo AAA game form 2 billion company i can sell whatever game look like, Can be sold at any price, my customer have a good test and so kind 👏

@@raylenc9760people are not defending the company they defend that the game is not bad after all. Take Fable for example. There were so much promises which never made it to the release but game still came out amazing and the series became legendary in some way. Stop holding a grudge over something which is not worth it. Go check out how the development was going and why the game came out like this and who’s responsible for it.

Yep. I booted up the game after the 2.0 patch, found a lot of features originally promised still aren't in the game, and even noted one instance of having fewer choices than I had before (there's a freezer in the first level where you could originally hide a body nonlethally, but while it makes sense for that to not be considered 'nonlethal' since the freezer locks, the choice has since been removed).

I remember most of the LEGO I played growing up as having some janky parts, with a few particularly egregious examples (here's looking at you, LEGO Batman 2), but it says a lot when your game is less stable than a bloody LEGO game. PS: Come to think of it, I don't ever recall seeing a LEGO game character T-Pose.

@@ommm4788 I agree with you in that management was at most fault, but my point was about how marketing is also a form of controlling people's expectations on the product you're selling. So the marketing here was disconnected from development, because they grew an unstable situation of hype, made no effort to control it (even when it was clear that the game was shipping unfinished) and was all things considered, "misleading". If I'm not mistaken, in Jason Shreier's article he mentions somebody at management forcing the studio to work on the demo for the game while it was still clearly unfinished, and this costed the studio months of development. Because the expectations from the outside grew bigger than the production of the best product possible.

Tbh 8 months after release, this "Free DLC" is really underwhelming. It should have been in the base game to begin with, and even if it had, it's just superficial items. They don't change anything in the game meaningfully, 8 months on it still feels like the same pile o' shit. I hoped early on they might release a Next-Gen version that would be like their trailer footage. Even at 30 fps on high end rigs, if it looked like the trailers and played as they promised, then it would be a good game probably. 8 months on, I think all we will ever get is this version with probably half the bugs fixed, the other half stay forever. They'll give us some free skins, and call it a day. What a scam, I will never buy a CDPR game ever again.

But the glitches destroy even the little bit of immersion that was left in, so they piss me off immensly. Night City is the best setting in years, but it is a Ubisoft Formula map and everything you can do gets repetitive after the second time. This is the real shame, because this city has no purpose. They even recycled the exact same locations for several quests while complete areas of the city are simply not relevant.

@@xamalion7334 Oh, I totally agree. The glitches are game breaking. But you can fix glitches (to some extent). But missing gameplay features like the ones they show here (story, customization, and environment specifically) are at the core of the game’s identity. And if they don’t fix that, then I paid for another lame RPG, with the only distinction from others being its nudity.

@@fertilebeef802 And I agree with you. I also defend myself against the "you hyped yourself too much" comments, that many people tend to cite. I wasn't hyped, I'm almost 40. I was excited, because they sold me a real groundbreaking RPG in a world where every decision I make, matters. And I so looked forward to explore this world and the different choices. My biggest disappointment is, that there is absolutey no change to the world, no matter what you do. It's what bugs me most about MMO games, but there is an explanation because the world has to stay in a state for all players. CP2077 is a singleplayer experience, so everything is possible, and that's what I expected based on everything CDPR showed us. For an example: I thought when I do the crime scenes and help lower criminal activity, maybe the city would become cleaner. Or people would become nicer in dialouges. Anything. I would have loved to see a change in the environment. Even Assassins Creed did this 10 years ago, when they started to implement the missions to free districts in the city. There is nothing RPG like, absolutely nothing.

I am new to this franchise(is there one? I really don't know) and to me the game seems...ok ish? I mean cyberpunk setting is not really my cup of tea and I felt rail-roaded by the questline but people seem to hate it for more reasons than I could personally tell. Can somebody kindly explain to me why there is overwhelming bad review for the game? Cheers. P.S. I start playing after... I think 1.06? so I did not encounter the many T-posing and graphic glitches shown in the video.

After seeing how many people are forgiving CDPR i don't have any hope for the industry, companies will keep pumping out garbage games at launch and fixing them later. You know what happens when servers die? You get the horrible day one games that's the difference. Never forget! Never forgive! CDPR have completely screwed over the ps4 and xbox one fan base by not putting the dlc on ps4 and xbox one. The ps4 and xbox one users were the main ones that were buying cyberpunk in the first place.
