Many big cities in India are CROWDED! So how do we as tourists handle that? What are some of the cultural differences that we face as tourists? What about staring? Is it really a thing in India? Here we're talking about it all.

The large crowds and the pushing were difficult for me when I was in India. I am a person who struggles with anxiety, and crowds are just hard for me in general. I did also experience getting a lot of stares. But before I even went on my trip, I made sure to read and watch a lot of videos about Indian culture, because I wanted to be prepared. So none of it was a big surprise to me when I finally got there! I went to India because I wanted to experience a culture and place that was completely different than my own, and that's exactly what I got. Differences are not always bad, and when you're traveling to another country, you can't expect it to be exactly like where you were born and raised! And if you do, you're going to be very disappointed. In any case, isn't the whole point of traveling to experience something different?

Any chance we get some information on how to prevent rapes in the USA, where women are 14 times more likely to get raped? Or how to avoid one of the sixty shootings every weekend in Chicago? Or survive two mass shootings a day? Gee, I'm curious because I'm going to visit the USA.

There is another world in India where tickets are booked online and queue are avoided. 😊

haha yes. But when i booked tickets it wasnt as easy for a tourist to get an irctc account, like it is for a local. But maybe they've updated that?

I am 50 years old and the last time I queued up for railway tickets was more than a decade ago. Book online. Also, find the station master if you are a foreigner in a smallish railway station, they will help you out. In metropolitan stations, there are dedicated tourist ticket counters that aren't that crowded, you get tickets reserved for tourists at short notice.

Staring doesn't happen to only foreigners. As an Indian if i go to a remote corner of India , where iam not native, iam 100% sure to be stared at. Thats because iam "different " from the locals.

They do the same thing overseas. I lived in Kuwait and Abu Dhabi and south Asians pulled the crowd and stare often.

Yes I absolutely learned that staring does not mean people have bad intentions at all.

Rather than just talking, it's better to show what India is. Sorry I had to skip the video to see if you showed what India is.

I was staring at your video, very very intensely, enjoying your expressions and communications . To be honest , I have not yet found so much of cackle on this topic " staring " . A stare is generally manifested by curiosity, and pleasant sight . Very rarely it has any rude or threatening intent . Among the creatures , only the predators, especially the feline , that feels uncomfortable by a eye contact . Among humans, those who have some psychological pathology, show various bizarre reactions to a gaze or a stare .

haha yes. and actually i like being able to stare at people myself. You're right that is generally just curiosity, and i think it's really a pretty natural reaction. But in the US we're taught not to stare, so it can still seem surprising.
