Crowds turn out to venerate Saint Jude relic

9 ай бұрынThe arm of Saint Jude the Apostle has arrived in the Diocese of Lansing and it’s estimated that over a thousand people turned out to venerate the relic, and ask for Jude’s heavenly help, on the first day of his three-day-visit which took place at Saint Patrick parish in Brighton, October 10.
“Saint Jude is the patron saint of hope and this is a time where people need hope,” said Father Carlos Martins, Director of the Treasures of the Church apostolate and custodian of the Saint Jude relic at Saint Patrick.
“The Church, in her wisdom, thought this is a good time to bring Saint Jude [to people] as a way to give people hope for the future, as a way to move forward and turn the page and let them know that Heaven is listening and Heaven desires to be part of our life and Saint Jude, the agent of hope, it just felt like a very fitting relic to be placed on tour.”

Saint Jude is generally regarded as being the son of Mary of Clopas, the sister of the Blessed Virgin Mary and one of the “three Marys” who stood by Jesus during His Crucifixion. That makes Saint Jude Christ’s first cousin. Jude is also one of the most venerated figures in Christian history and is often regarded as the patron saint of lost causes and desperate situations.
According to tradition, Saint Jude suffered martyrdom about 65AD in Beirut in Lebanon together with the apostle Simon the Zealot, with whom he is usually connected. According to one account, Saint Jude's body was brought from Beirut to Rome and placed in a crypt in St. Peter's Basilica where it is still venerated by many devotees. St Jude is the most powerful saints. Whatever impossible I have kept in front of him he has always given me an answer. When I was hunting a job without a proper place to live I prayed to him in Oct 28th the feast day. Now I’m in a similar situation finding it hard to get a job with 2 children to support. I know with all my heart and soul he will help me. He will help when all the world has stopped helping. St Jude has done it before he will do it again. Thank you St Jude who makes a hopeless person like me full of hope and gratitude. In mighty name of Jesus Amen

Dear St Jude, please intercede for our son Samuel to ask God to heal his OCD mental health issues so that he can live a normal life. He has been struggling with this condition for many years and has lost hope in everything including his Catholic faith. Please help and pray for him. Praise and Glory to God for ever and ever. Amen.

Dear St Jude, how gracious you are to share yourself in this beautiful relic so that we may touch you even through this short video. I know that you have shared this with me for I had not seen it previously. As one who pray for many who are ill and otherwise, you have answered many of my prayers with your healing and impossible hopeless situations. As I will not be in a place where I can visit and touch your encased arm, I know that through my faith, and watching this, you will share your holiness with me and answering the many prayers offer up. I have sent this to others who have strong faith. How grateful I am. May we all be blessed by your grace. Thank you, St Jude. Amen

Worship God and Him alone. It is shameful that the Catholic church encourages people to offend God by having them go after other gods. There is one mediator and one way to the Father. Gods Word never even hinted for His people to practice these things. God is a jealous God and His glory, He will share with no other. Just because you slap the label of church and God on something, doesn't make it correct.

Most holy apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally, as the patron of hopeless cases, of things almost despaired of. Pray for me, I am so helpless and alone. Make use I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you, to bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly - (Here make your request) and that I may praise God with you and all the elect forever. no one's presence, soul and spirit, remains in their deceased body. the spirit leaves the body at death, and if saved, goes to be with the lord eternally. to suggest that there is any interaction between the dead in christ, and those who are alive in christ, is not founded in any biblical truth, and is condemned by God: calling up the dead. the devil is capable of all manner of deceiving miracles. "heavenly favors" come from God, thru christ only. because of unbelief, people resort to trusting in their own made up deities, or spirits. that too is forbidden by God, as well fashioning any sort of images to look to for help. our help, as followers of christ, comes from the lord. hebrews 4:16 straight from the throne of God. do not insult the spirit of grace by turning to some other source. a strong delusion.

@@francissweeney7318 The Catholic church was the first church. If some Catholics want to touch the relic of a saint, in this case St Jude, one of Jesus's besties, let them be. It is one way for them to feel close to Jesus. It's not your role to judge. It is documented in the scriptures many received miracles from Peter's shadow, from feeling Jesus's presence makes some believe and able to receive miracles from Jesus. Why are you so filled with hate and quick to call me a fool. I have asked for my friends to pray for miracles on my behalf and I have also asked saints who are in perpetual grace to pray for me. And I have received so many incredible miracles from Jesus. Catholics are social children of God. We don't name call. We pray.

@@j.g.8494 actually that's not correct. Yes, I know Jesus was a Jew. There are stories in the New Testament where people touched his robe and were healed, alluding to the power of relics. Eg. the woman hemorrhaging; she didn't touch Jesus directly. Father Martins explained this in his talk. You don't or didn't want to listen.
