Human children weren't bred for hundreds of generations to be obedient and perform jobs for us. It's not even a proper sampling of "dogs" considering they're almost all border collies or collie crosses. Put 23 rescue mutts here who were bred with no purpose in mind and you'll get very different results.

Not boring if you know how hard this is for a dog to do this "on command" rather than when they feel like a lie down. So impressive. They are not "doing nothing." Fully aware, strong self control.

M_AND_DEMON I totally agree. I get tired of hearing how Huskies should not be off leash and how they are stubborn. So not true as my Sister has 2. And let's not forget the movie Eight Below and Snow Dogs. My sisters one husky came from one of the breeders who's dog is in Snow Dogs.

Mona B Huskies can be great but they are highly independent and pack oriented. Not always the best for obedience or most dog sports. Husky owners also tend to be....not the most favorable dog owners though certainly that doesn't apply to all.

KMichelle Argus Pack Oriented? Dog are social animals not pack animals. Again it boils down to training. With all this talk about Huskies shouldn't be off leash is crap. And the sad thing is many owners are tild this so they don't bother training them for that. As for sports, I have seen them do Agility and Flyball and Obedience. These are the owners who are deticated to their dogs and training.

Hehe!! I've seen many more kids who shouldn't be off a leash than dogs these days! I've lost count of how many kids I've had to kick back into their own bathroom stall. It's astounding!
