Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience on the Diamond Princess. I just want to note that this cruise ship is not owned by the UK, but is registered there. The Diamond Princess is part of the fleet of Princess Cruises owned by Carnival which is owned by an American company and currently under the Holland America Grp which holds executive control over the Princess Cruises brand. (Wikipedia). A cruise ship bears the flag of the country in which it was registered. 😊

If I was on that kitchen tour I would find the head chef and say, "Now, look here Mister...I need me some Wagyu Beef. Throw the pizzas away to bring out the beef." Well, he'll probably call the security crew and have me thrown in a brig or something. Lol Also, I half expected to see Gordan Ramsay in one of those kitchens screaming about the lamb sauce and a burnt risotto. The orange juice on Jeju Island looks tasty! Excellent content as always!

27:26 fyi that is corned beef hash ("hash" is derived from French: hacher, meaning 'to chop') and has other ingredients mixed in, usually potato. Traditional corned beef is a brisket brined with distinctive spices and served by the slice (like prime rib) along with cabbage on the side. btw, 31:33 the butter is intended as a spread on the waffles (or on bread rolls) and not usually consumed whole.

Looks like a good time, rainy days aside! By the way, I think the desert you ate on your last day's dinner was "baked Alaska": it's a kind of cake with ice cream at the center, which is covered in meringue cream and the outside is cooked with a small torch. 😄 A hot and cold dessert in one item. I'm curious: are many people still wearing masking on the ship? I know Japan ended their mandate, but at least in the USA/Europe, cruises are famous for people often getting sick from various viral illnesses that spread quickly on a ship.
@ReyOfLight
@ReyOfLight 8 ай бұрын
It's just very common in Japan for people to wear a mask, even before the pandemic. So personally I'm not surprised seeing people wear masks even now (and I did see some in the video), people in Japan just wear a mask out of habit and out of courtesy towards people around them, and I really wish westerners could have even a fraction of that courtesy towards others... I'm Swedish and was often the only one or one of too few who wore a mask in indoor public spaces when the pandemic was at its peak. Now I no longer mask up but have masks at home and I'm not afraid to use them should the situation call for it again or if I'm having cold symptoms myself and have to go outside (I've only had one common cold since March of 2019, no flu or Covid for me thanks to precautions and vaccines)

Great video, but from the scene where you ate the udon on the ferry, you started to focus too much on the food (which could make it repetitive and boring). Perhaps you should showcase the interesting dishes since the cruise lasted for 7 days.

6:15 - then in my case, the tea flavor will be absolutely horrific. 🥺 If I ever have a chance to go to Korea, I'm gonna spend a full day in the fabric stores of Dongdaemun. I'll be broke, but happy. But I will have to get the mildest dead boring version of Tteokbokki. Just looking at it gives me heartburn. If I tell them "Please, pity me, I am but American", maybe they'll know to make it like baby spicy.
