Was on the Alaska sailing from June 12~19 on the Discovery Princess. Seeing all the places we also were at and the food we also ate brings about a serious longing to go back! Enjoyed your vlog! Stay healthy and thanks for the chance to relive the foods and venues 🤙😁

I love that omelette station! I usually can only get a vegetable omelette because I don't eat pork or shellfish. I am glad to see the turkey and salmon options!

Great video, thanks for the info! You may want to update or add notes of some kind as Princess has changed their packages as of August 2023 and Gigi's Pizzaria is no longer free! free! free! (included! included! included!) unless you upgrade to a Plus or Premier package. So sorry for the tea accident, was looking forward to more restaurant reviews!

Hm tough question!!! I like them both, but they're very different atmospheres lol. Royal is definitely more family-oriented with a lot of activities going on for all ages, whereas Princess had a much older crowd and was much more of a relaxed vibe :)

Great idea for a video - I've actually just done a similar one looking at food on MSC Virtuosa, but great to see the same for Discovery (we're just back from this ship a few weeks back!)

Hi there! I just wanted to compliment you on your package design. As a designer, I found the aesthetics of your branding really well put together. I also appreciate your overall smooth camera work as well as the music tracks you select to accompany your videos. Which cruise ship did you like better for Alaska? Ovation of the Seas or Discovery Princess? I'll be doing an Alaskan cruise next month myself and I'm very much looking forward to it!

Thank you so much! I really like both ships, but they're very different so it really depends on who you're traveling with and expectations. Princess was a beautiful ship but much more laid-back with an older clientele vs Royal Caribbean which is definitely more family-oriented!

Immediately subscribed! I love my bagels and lox as well❤ Shocking no cream cheese tho its illegal to not have it. You a coffee type? I'm curious how their coffee is. Burger looks good and simple which i like. 🍦swirl is life. The dinner menu looks good. Im excited to go this late NOV.

Hi! Thank you for subbing! Yeah I was bummed when they said they didn't have cream cheese onboard!!! Luckily they got more later in the cruise lol. I'm not a huge coffee drinker, so I'm not sure how their coffee is.

Hiii remember me? We met the night that you ate at the French Bistro. I’ve been thinking about that chocolate bar dessert ever since that night!!! I just wanted to drop a note and let you know that I’ve been following along and sharing every one of your videos w my family and my other new friends I met on this cruise. I need to thank you bc you’ve given me a timeline and such for my vacation that I will have for life and it’s pretty cool when I want to show anyone about my trip. What kind of Sail Away party does Ovation have compared with Carnivals sail away parties which is always crazy. A little quieter in Ovation? We're going to Alaska on Ovation in September from Seattle.

When I was on Ovation, it was during the peak of Covid and they were not doing sail away parties at all. But in my experience, sail away is much more relaxed and quiet on Royal and Alaskan cruises and DEFINITELY nothing like Carnival lol Have a great time on your cruise!

Hi Sarah, it was fully self-serve for my sailing. There were of course employees behind the stations to answer questions or give help if needed though.

What did you enjoy better - Ovation of the Seas Alaska Cruise or Discovery Princess? What ship has more things to do and which ship do you feel has the younger families? We are going on Ovation sometime in September 2022

Hi Anthony! For younger families, I'd DEFINITELY recommend Ovation of the Seas more. Royal is wonderful with activities and things to do for kids. I enjoyed my trip on Princess, but it definitely catered to an older crowd.

@@Currentlycarly777 Do you know where can do a PCR test in the Downtown Seattle area? We arrive Seattle 2 days before the cruise on September 2nd. Is that enough time to get a pre-cruise test and get the results on the morning of the 2nd Hopefully.?

u popped my cherry in terms of watching a princess cruise vlog. do they let u keep the medallion? sorry to hear about the tea incident. i get hungry every time i see the menu. im not a seafood person. i like desserts and land food more. is it easier to get comps on princess vs carnival? wow u got lucky the first night. if that was me i would have splurged it all... vegas style

They do let you keep the medallion! Princess had some really great desserts - I was impressed. I'm not sure how the algorithms work on each of the lines, but I definitely got a better casino offer from Princess after this cruise than I've ever received on Carnival. And yes, it was tough not to splurge after winning in the casino lol

@@Currentlycarly777 i have a feeling you got better comps on princess because you were the top player that trip and the rewards/comps are based on a ranking system. on carnival, there are a lot more guests to compete with. thoughts please?

Did those metal soup pots contain Grits? They are usually next to Oatmeal and/or cream of wheat. This Southern gal cannot have breakfast w/out my buttered grits.

@@Currentlycarly777 Thanks for the confirmation! For us Southerners grits are paramount to a warm, full tummy! So much so at age 63 I've never eaten cold cereal (corn flakes) nor served it at my breakfast table to kids or grandkids😳
