I LOVE the hospitality industry but because of how underrated it is in my country LESOTHO I am starting to feel like it’s torturing me and I am going nowhere really. I was even thinking of switching careers BUT I came across this guy and some hope is awakened. Will be applying weekly until something comes up.Thank you guys

My question is why are our Tvet colleges releasing hospitality graduates only for hotels and restaurants to employ foreigners with no qualifications in the sector in South Africa, A family in KZN could not bury their daughter who died oversees on a cruise ship because countries refused her body to pass through their nations to South Africa, Let's first employ our very own in South Africa, and those who decide to go work on cruise ships must do it voluntary not because of desperation and lack of opportunities

Thank you so much for this info. When e is on the ship accomodation is free right ...what are the costs that come with working on a cruise.? what are the downsides of working on a cruise ship other than the long hours ?
@liferesetwithboni3 ай бұрын
I'll get him to respond.
@WandileSambane3 ай бұрын
Accommodation and food are for free when working on a ship. some companies charge for internet, we dont pay. If I can sum it up with regards to working on a cruise ship, its not for everyone, however if you want to experience what its like to be outside your comfort zone, face and overcome challenges as you will be dealing with people from different cultures, face your fears and Personal Growth, then you might give it a shot. Just remember, everyone has and can create their own Unique Experience

Cruise ships are for travellers. So, there won't be any jobs for tutors. If you want to teach Maths or English or being an "Au pair" or Nanny, there're opportunities in other countries. Try China, Japan, Europe, UAE or US.
