You speak of pursuing dreams. This was a thrilling moment for Haley. Her dreams were coming true! She was 21 and hadn't yet released her first album. And here she was sharing the stage with Myles and Slash, hanging out with Quincy Jones backstage "all night", and rubbing shoulders with celebrities. At the end of this TV special everyone was on stage to close the show and she was standing next to Snoop Dog and behind Stevie Wonder as he performed "Happy Birthday" to Ali who was also on stage (this was a televised birthday gala celebration for him to raise money for brain-releated medical research).

Fun Fact for those who don't know Myles Kennedy, In the movie, Rock Star, starring Mark Wahlberg *(spoiler warning),*, Mark plays a rock star wanabee who lucks into becoming a lead singer of a Metal band, picked out from the crowd by the previous lead singer. Mark goes through the trials and tribulations of the rock and roll lifestyle, until at the end, he grew tired of it, in the last scene of the movie, during a concert, Mark's character spots a fan in the crowd who appears to know all the lyrics to their songs. Mark proceeds to go full circle and picks that fan from the crowd, then leaves the stage while the fan finishes the show. That fan was Myles Kennedy \m/

That was a lot of fun seeing more artists team up with my favorite new female singer. I'm so happy she has gone out and spread her wings since she was on Americans got talent show.

Myles F’N Kennedy is the best! Also a fantastic guitar player 💪 I too ‘discovered’ him for myself after hearing him with Slash. I subsequently went down a rabbit hole and discovered his solo work and Mayfield Four; but it was AlterBridge that truly shocked and amazed me! Firstly, that I never heard of them before, and secondly, that they quickly have become my favorite band…ever! (And I’m a rock and metal fan of 60’s,70’s, 80’s and 90’s rock and metal!). These guys are that good; but get no mainstream media attention due to the N American fixation on pop, hiphop, and country music anymore… Shame. Anyways; I’m glad they are able to continue to tour and make albums to this day, and are able to make a good living at it! (Thankyou Europe!)

That is also one of my favorite songs from Alter Bridge!!! My husband and I have complete opposite tastes in music. He never liked my choices and I didn't care for his. Then one day we came across Alter Bridge's "Watch Over You" and were immediate fans. We both had crushes on Myles Kennedy. I have great memories of both of listening to the "Blackbird" album on a loop in the car with the windows down. I would scream sing the lyrics as my husband schooled me on what an exceptional singer Myles was and on what exceptional musicians each of the members were. Good times.

Myles Kennedy first came into my notice as the lead singer who replaced Axl Rose when he and Slash had 'differences' (wiki says 2012, Kennedy stepped in for Axl at GnR's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction), and as you can see, he and Slash continue to be band mates, and they occasionally put albums out together, still

She was just a wee baby and you see how starstruck she was. I remember they said that Slash and Perla picked her up snd they drove in together.

for me, it's Haley that is unknown, I knew Slash for decades, Myles and Alter Bridge as been on my play list for approximately 3-4 years, I also found out Myles been in the movie Rock Star and was the guy from the crowd stepping up on stage to replace the lead singer near the end of the movie
