Yup, 1988 with the 10th VIN digit of "J" for the 1988 model year. This one had the 3.0L V6 as you saw and was made in Nagoya, Japan. The "E" logo on the back is the Greek letter for "Sigma". It connotates reliability and standing out from the crowd. Mitsubishi was known for their electronics in the 1980s and should have stuck with them---they didn't do such a great job with their cars. Paint should be code "H43" Bright Silver Metallic. 1978 Datsun (Nissan, same thing) 280Z with the VIN for the win: H for L28E (2.8L) fuel injected inline six-cylinder engine, L for left hand drive, S30 for 280Z and the rest is the production sequence. 1979 would bring the 280ZX model, so this is the last year for the 280Z. Exterior paint should be code 216 Polar White.

Yes here in the uk .they are so rare,and fetch good money!like.all classics over here.my(4) 940 volvos are rare now.but this is.a car crushing business,they dont care ,or give a fuck!what it is,could be the last 1 in the world very oldor worth millions.if its gotta be destroyed.they have to do it .they earn there living on metal,its weight,not cars,or parts.death row means death row!crushed gone forever!at least its a living and its recycling metal!

Not crying you're the one missing out on money... I know for a fact he get 300 bucks for a crushed car while you can sell that Z4 an easy 2000$even without the title. The junkyard by my house sells all the cool and unique cars and crushes the rest.
