Күн бұрынCarter and I headed to a lake that neither of us has ever been to in hopes of finding Carter his first Small Mouth Bass! We found some bass, but also got into several nice Walleye! The Duck Mountain area is home to so many different lakes and so many different opportunities. I can not wait to go back!!

Great video, beauty provincial park and amazing lake. You are fishing the shore directly across from my place, can even see it in a few clips. Big thumbs up to you for mentioning that there are special regulations for different lakes here. Both slot limit and sizes. Top shelf, keep up the good work.

Go to Lake Huron for big smallies I caught a 6.5-7 pound Smallie this year the average fish was 20”

I've read the red eyes are an adaptation. Apparently they can see better in the dark/in dark water. Largemouth, spotted bass and other fish can also have red eyes. I don't think that's 100% the reason though.

Seems like Carter has a very brisk and fluid, popping retrieve. Guy's got a hair trigger hookset.

The red eyes you see in a largemouth bass are simply a pigment variation in the fish's eyes its common in rock bass as well .but great video and gzz on first small mouth carter

Nice video. I can't believe you didn't keep any walleye. I'd be having shore lunch or breakfast. Is that a protected lake?

The limits are lower because the lake is on the rebound. Likely over fishing in the past. I have lots of lakes that are good for eater walleye so I usually try to harvest from those lakes :)

It blows my mind that you, someone who fishes basically for a living, it sitting on an 18" PB Smallie. I live in Northern lower Michigan, and if I'm not cracking 20"+ Smallies it's a subpar day, my PB is currently 23.5"

Not catching a small mouth isn't a bad thing. They are lake rats here, rough fish have a better reputation.
