Ukraine Loses "100 Sq Km" In Kharkiv As Military Admits Russian Tactical Success, Lavrov Dares West

Russia pounded over 30 villages and towns in Kharkiv after launching a ground offensive in the Ukrainian border region, officials said. Ukraine's General Staff acknowledged that Russia "currently is achieving tactical success" after driving a wedge into Kyiv's defences. In his nightly address, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that fighting was going on in a string of villages in the Kharkiv region. Russia has slammed US silence on the deadly Ukrainian attack on Belgorod. Ukrainian forces struck an oil terminal and electrical substation in western Russia, a security source in Kyiv told AFP. Russian foreign minister, Sergey Lavrov, said if the West wants to solve the Ukraine conflict on the battlefield, "so be it." Watch the video to find out more.

Well Zelensky says that Russia does not have either firepower or manpower to win Kharkiv. Prove him wrong. Russia is running dog and pony show of winning, losing and winning the outskirts. The real place to fight is South and that is where Ukraine is putting pressure. When was the last time Russia advanced in the south. That Southern occupation is less than 100 KM thick and that is where Russia will lose the war. Ukraine only needs to advance 60 KMs in the south and for all practical purposes, Russia loses this war.

As long as Russia is losing 4 to 1 soldiers while advancing, it will lose the war regardless of the gains. Those human waves can give you gains, but you do not have an infinite supply of humans and ammo. Putin had given the May 9 deadline to its military to win Chasiv Yar, and Russia could not achieve it. People in the West are closely observing Russian performance beyond just the single metric things that impress you.

Zelenskyy is terrified that Kharkiv's city governors will strike a commerce deal with Russian railways and declare itself free from the Kiev martial regime -- which by now is illegal. Kharkiv could apply the constitution and become the capital of the Rep of Ukraine. It has done so in the past. There could be a minor civil war but this could be avoided with the AFU official HQ and ministry setting up the city. As Russia would possibly resurrect the terms of the Istanbul talks (possibly including an outright ban on weapons entering the land mass) the conflict could be over in days. Zelenskyy and his regime should have to face the Ukrainian people and explain why evacuations and Kiev aid to civilians have been missing throughout. The army will ask why reckless orders were given and their advice was ignored. This adds up to treachery against the people.

Look at Israel with so many modern weapons they are not able to win ...7months.. ( for them one disadvantage is civilians shield used by Hamas terrorists) but you know defending it easy than attacking and that too when defenders have unlimited weapons coming and attacker have thousands of sanctions on them.

Ukraine cannot rotate / refresh it' s units because they have zero young volunteers, the average Ukrainian fighter is older than 40 yrs. The Western cannons cannot keep up with the rate of fire, they have to be refurbi shed more often than Russian artillery pieces and they never had them as many as Russia.Ukraine could not support their troops from the air last year, whatever helicopters / planed they had, they lost last year.. Ukraine can hit Russian boats in the Black Sea but Russia does not need the boats to defend itself. If the American fleet shows up anywhere near Sevastopol, it will be neutralized by hypersonics from the air - land and submarines.
