Well, people don't understand real world asset tokenization. Imagine that - You run a burger place You can sell burger tokens 1st and wait for customer to redeem their burger token for real burger some time later. You can have money 1st and deliver their burger later or sometimes never because customer can forget that he bought those burger tokens. Same with real state, gold, computer chips or well services - Imagine You can buy Netflix watch time token and redeem that watch time later this year or maybe next year. It's up to You. This is tokenization of real world assets. It's like futures but redeemable for spot!

But what if I go to redeem my token for my burger and it no longer covers the cost of a burger due to (whatever circumstance)? Are we saying said token value is infutable from inception? That seems unrealistic. How long is that token redeemable for said initial value? My concern is that this opens up the "claw back" ideal where if tokens are not redeemed in a certain amount of time said tokens can be cancelled or deemed void, etc.. Then that is open to potential incredibly ugly controls...

@@justinkeeling4858 IMO market will defend itself. Nobody will ever buy burger token from brand X because brand X didn't keep its promiss. That is why We need laws and regulations to keep companies accoutable and that is why Current "banksters" are against crypto. There's no space for inflation and devaluation in the world of DLT.

@@justinkeeling4858good points. Perhaps in the time elapsed since token sale, businesses can flip the funds to cover such unforeseen circumstances. Or maybe they can secure their future costs of stock/labour with some kinds of futures contracts, or even tokenisation again. Claw backs will exist just like any gift card that exists now, but we should expect that because the running of these businesses can’t/wont be decentralised.

Tokenization talk - very good. But exit strategies: who wants “dollars”? The “dollar” will be made entire virtual and serially devalued. Dollars are a pit dug for the unwary. Exit into something real: that’s an exit.

Tokenisation is 100% the future! Selling a proposition of a house you would own sounds like a disaster mind you ha. I will be buying all the tokenisations if that is how we go though!

Can't see how this would work, what would happen for instance the project like the golf resort failed your percentage would be worth less or even worthless! Tokenisation of a property how can you earn a yield other than the percentage you own of it's current price if you sold your token proportion, I suppose if it was a rented property you could earn yield but if it's not rented you could not earn a yield.

Yes investments can go down, as well as up... and your yeild would be negotiated at inception - yes some may only trigger at sale whilst others may be passive monthly, yearly etc.

Here’s a question: once a portion of your property (for example) is tokenized and sold, what happens when you want that property back and they won’t sell? What if they renovate their newly acquired property and it causes an inconvenience for you?

But who\what determines value? What bar is the worth of a token of my home set against? "...That Doesn't Feel Scammy"? This feels scammy. Of course I am sure (and honestly I HOPE) I might be missing something...

Do governments approve of this, there are many categories of property status, such as commercial, residential, etc. to change this required municipality approval that can take months. Let’s say you change the property to your desired category status, you would need a smart contract not an NFT? how could a property owner who has cottages tokenise it legally as a retail investor?

Correct he stated that it wood b a security. There would be no lawsuit against them for doing this because they just register it and sell it through the correct pathways as a security.

If you were ever going to describe a "security" you have just done it with your NFT token example. Gary Gensler would be very happy with you...the NFT Sponsor is accountable to the NFT holders for their "expectation of profits" through the efforts of the Sponsor. Duh!
