UPDATE 4/2023: One thing we loved about this hotel was the indoor pool and hot tub. We have been told the pool has been closed. Not sure if this closure is permanent, but it appears to be. So if a pool is important to you, please confirm the status of the pool with the hotel's front desk before booking.
For our last three trips to Washington DC, we stayed at the same hotel each time. But the hotel was outside of DC. We will discuss why we choose this hotel and how easy it is to get to Washington DC from the Crystal City Marriott at Reagan National Airport. Not only is it easy to get to DC from the hotel, there are plenty of restaurants and shops to explore right outside the hotel's doors. We have enjoyed our stay here each time we have visited. So please join us as we give you a tour of our home away from home near the nation's capital.

You are right… there are a lot of smaller accommodations in the DC area. But this one has everything we needed with a train station underneath it so we had a good stay. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!

Hot tubs do make any hotel better. We have been to a few hotels who kept their hot tubs closed throughout the entire pandemic. Hopefully they make a comeback soon. Thanks for watching!

very nice hotel! room looks sleek and modern with comfy beds, plenty of pillows ☺️ like how it connects underground to Metro. agree prefer to take rail instead of driving much easier no headaches while on vacation. cool tip about the prices during week, never thought of that before 😎 thanks for sharing ✨

Looks like a nice hotel with cozy rooms. The pool had a really cool shape and very convenient access to the metro station with shops along the way. Looks very convenient.

Love The Mural behind the Headboard! Such a Modern and Classy feel to this Room! How convenient you are so close to The Metro without having to drive in the "Big City" Traffic! Great Tour Alice & Jack & super helpful! If we ever visit Washington DC we'll stay here, my hubs also hates driving in Crazy traffic while on vacation too !

Parking fees LOL but at least where this place is located it makes some sense! We have loved most Marriotts that we have stayed at! Wow "juice jacking"! I have never heard of that but it makes sense! Thanks for the warning!

Loved seeing the Crystal City Marriott, Jack and Alice. We were not aware of "juice jacking" and we'll have to keep that in mind in the future. Looked like a wonderful room. It's funny but when you stepped out and into the airport/metro area we realized we've been there.(Not the hotel) We've flown into Reagan several times before and always use the Metro in Washington DC. It's a great way to get around. Even if we drive there we still use the metro and leave the car parked. Thanks for the review Jack and Alice!

Yes. We have found it is best practice to take the Metro in DC to avoid driving in high traffic areas of a big city that we don’t really know our way around. And you don’t have to search for parking or have to pay for parking. Just less stressful all around to keep the car parked! Thanks so much for watching and for taking the time to comment!

We used to use the USB chargers but then we ran across an article talking about how it is much safer to just charge through an normal electrical outlet due to hacking concerns. We had never really considered it before. But it does make sense in hindsight. This hotel’s location on the outskirts of DC right along the train route is a great perk. Marriott has some awesome properties! It seems that all hotels are charging for parking these days which we think is crazy!

We usually have great stays at Marriotts. You are right about parking though. We just got home from a trip to California. They charged 40 dollars for self parking. It is getting out of hand. Thanks for watching and commenting!

My mom and I are staying at this Marriott over Father’s Day weekend for the VVMF Memorial ceremony (Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund.). They recognize our Vietnam Vets that made it home but later passed from cancer, Agent Orange exposure, PTSD, etc.. My dad passed away in 2014 from 3 cancers and he is being honored. I was wondering, is there any place at the hotel to sit outside? Sometimes it’s just nice to decompress and get some fresh air. Thank you. Also, do you feel safe walking through the parking garage alone? I would be dropping my mom and her luggage off at the entrance and then be parking and walking with my luggage, by myself.
