Aaron hurts my heart. He has had to deal with too much abuse and trauma in his 26 years, but still seems he could have a fulfilling, healthy and happy life one day. I hope he gets the serious and long-term help he needs for his drug addiction and mental health issues. I pray he reunites with his sister. He desperately needs to have a loving relationship with what family he has.

@sirblake406 That’s the problem with the bulk of the people on this channel. I can have empathy for the $hit they were dealt, but eventually you have to get your life in order. I personally know plenty of people who had horrendous childhoods and ended up making something of their lives.

When Aaron said that he wants to be a doctor, and Mark showed the still of this photo - I could literally see the future version of him as a doctor, and I could sense all the other thousands of people watching this video, hearing Aaron say - "I want to be a doctor!", each one of those thousands also seeing the still of his photo in its future version as his professional bio picture for the psychologist or psychiatrist directory of some hospital. Take that in Aaron! We see you!!

@Molly Henn Honey, this may blow your friggin mind, but being a so-called "Christian" doesn't have anything to do with having true compassion or integrity. You don't know a damn thing about the commenter you presume "must be Christian". Solid people who help others don't need to have a 'religion' to offer hope and support. And most people who call themselves "Christian" live nothing like the historical Jesus, and are in fact arrogant, judgmental hypocrites who blaspheme by claiming to associate the concept of 'Christ' with aggressive violent denunciation of anyone different from them. Grow TF up, k?

It happens all the time. Also DHS and Children Services usually send the children to the nearest relative which is just as bad. If the parent is an abuser who's to say that their sister or cousin is not also an abuser. Grandparents resent receiving their children's children. A lot of foster families are in it for the check. Nobody really gives a s*** about these kids.

@@zyrosqrd2552I don't think nihilism is the answer man, the second we start assuming these kind of evils are normal or expected is when all becomes lost and the victims of such things have no hope. There's also a lot of good people out there, this channels author being one among many others. I'm aware of the evil that exist in the world, never fails to still blow me away when it happens, the two aren't mutually exclusive.

@Nuck Chorris Feel ya, Bruh, but whether you get "good people" in your life or f*kk'd up people who will screw you over is the luck of the draw. Only thing you can control is how you do other people, not how they gonna do you. There will always be kids abused by parental figures, and people of every age abused by those who ostensibly are supposed to be helping them. If you get 'good people' doing right by you, it ain't because you deserve it any more than someone else who is being harmed by 'bad people' (who often don't even understand the destruction they cause). Just being sober, dude. Appreciate any good stuff you get in your life, cause there's no guarantee. Namaste.

*So called normal people are so quick to judge addicts. What they don't see is the invisible scars they carry around that they're just trying to mend by using. It was a heroin addict close to 15 years & now have nearly 7 years clean. It took me a VERY long time to realize that continuing to use was just causing the problem to fester & that I wouldn't heal until I put real work in on myself. My life is pretty magnificent today. If I had one wish it would be for all addicts to experience freedom from addiction*

Man are you smart and in so many respects. You deserved waaaaaay better in life and to be loved without any stipulations or conditions because you’re worth it. I’m sorry for the suffering you were made to endure and likely continue to experience today. The fact that a foster kid is removed from an abusive situation only to be placed into one is beyond me and shame shame shame on those that partake in it and the system that is responsible for failing so many children. Call your sister my friend I am certain she loves you and will be proud of you no matter what…she’d probably welcome you with open arms. I have a similar situation w a younger and estranged brother who lives in another country (where we are originally from). I wish he would lean on me alcoholic or not. He tells me he will come see me when he’s better but I fear that day will never come so I encourage him to come to me exactly as he is because I love him no less. I too am flawed and imperfect. Don’t let shame and pride stop you. You’ve been hurt and didn’t cause this…you sought something that would help ease the pain. It makes sense to want to feel better. Don’t dwell on that. People don’t speak enough about the fact that we seek things that make emotional pain more bearable and drugs in this case make you feel better. It’s ok and doesn’t define you or your worth. Seek and accept help, learn to trust others and lean on them, you are not a burden. It’s a long hard road but somehow imo you have to come to believe the neglected little boy in you deserves to be loved and like it or not you are the one that will have to provide it to him. You will accomplish anything you put your mind to as long as you believe you are worth it. Love infinity to you kiddo ❤️❤️❤️

Mark, You were able to get help for Amanda and I wasn't sure she could be helped she was so far gone, I loved her and it hurt that her life ended when it was just beginning really, RIP Amanda Many of us will never forget you. Can you find help for Aaron? Offer him a long term rehab program and upon completion get him a ticket to Australia and a connection for ongoing out patient rehab there and possibly assist him with college tuition? He is worthy, he needs help. I know you can't save all you meet but I think Aaron is ready to change his life. Help him find his way to a better life, please.
