Due to getting a health shot in Arms race the achievement which asks you to win a game without dying becomes much easier... I remember grinding for that one for hours...

You do get xp from those private queue matches, as well as drops. I was in the match with you, and despite surrendering after 7 rounds of knifing the other team i got a fair bit of xp, and somebody got a case as a drop.

the ragdolls have definitely changed. bodies seem to fly a lot more once you kill them, already had a few funny moments where i either naded a guy and he flew high up in the air or killed a guy with a legshot while they were running away from me, resulting in their bodies falling dramatically to the ground. as i recall, this occasionally happened before, but seems to happen more consistently now

now, csgo is finally up to every there with every other valve game, somehow good graphics on 17 year old engine, crazy ragdolls, and solid shooting except for l4d2, that has everything but the crazy ragdolls, instead it has unique death animations that i really hope valve adds to other games

@@medicsoff The maps are very well made, with baked in ray tracing lightning. Its gonna hold up for a long long time. I'ms still waiting for a vulkan wrapper, they are going to need that wrapper as steam deck is coming out.

@Taistelu_pelto After seeing the improvements of the wrapper on left 4 dead 2, i think they are gonna use it. CS GO engine is also very close to the version they use for left4dead 2. Any perf increase is welcomed on a portable device. Edit: oh and i think its gonna give them less headache for maintenance in the future, dx9 is very very old at this point.

It’s so amazing that they added shields ONLY to hostage casual. Hostage was unplayable because of the unbalance, now it’s more fair and with a cool new feature! As long as the shield stays out of defusal maps, this is a phenomenal change.

@@Yveldi Hostage Competitive would have a much better reputation if it just had some decent maps IMO. The shield is a great addition but what that mode really needs is maps.

Valve might be testing how skins being directly purchased via stars both impacts the economy as well as overall sales for an operation/case/skin/etc. Since it could possibly become a permanent thing or the only option in the future if cases/unboxing get completely stopped in most countries... or I'm wrong and they aren't doing that, but knowing them it definitely would be interesting data to collect.

It is testing the economy, weirdly enough both the m4 and glock for 100 stars are actually very cheap somehow while the golden ak and the awp still are mega expensive. I wonder if trade-ups might be the reason.

I think its a step in the right direction ethically but the loot box style gamble skins will outsell direct sales any day of the week. I think the odds of getting a gold ak is 1 in 15,000 or 1500 - it costs 4 stars to roll for it so £3.29*1500 = way more than £33

As long as Valve generates income it's a win for them. Remember how they shut down most third-party sites and added trade cooldown a few years ago? Valve knows their game very well and I think they don't have or follow the CSGO economy and how it works. That's a community thingy.

It would be cool if you can create private queues with 4v4 or 2v2 on Wingman maps. We rarely get 10 people together, but 8 is reachable and 4 is ez.

They definitely have changed ragdoll mechanics. Basically they just reverted them to the state that it was in 2014. People can fly high in the air after getting a headshot. And it's FUN! :D I was missing it a lot.

There's no better feeling than someone jump peeking you, you headshot them and they just go soaring for 10 feet. The days were a point blank noscope with awp and literally send the body flailing

There was also a change to some "boost" trigger mechanic, since on all Surf-Combat servers, many areas that are supposed to give you a speed boost dont work anymore since the update, which sucks since its mostly really old maps that wont get fixed anytime soon. And on some maps the whole gameplay relies on the boost blocks flinging you around the map

yeah i dont think that is a good change. some of the demo maps are very unbalanced (like bank being T sided), so now i will just completely avoid playing those maps at all.

They definitely did something to the ragdolls, sometimes the headshots do the trick, they "fly" more, feels really good now when headshoting the enemies.

The wingman utility damage I did by making a deal with the enemy team. We stood in each other's fires and got fried together. Nice bonding with the enemy team. Would recommend.

Wow! Lots of changes there and I'm excited the most for the new dm modes and arms race changes. They are always my favs. As for the shield back on casual just like 1.6 days it's long overdue. It's been awhile since the shield was added exclusively for Danger Zone and now it's finally available for the CTs in casual mode.

About the private queue thing, you can choose your teammates by inviting 4 players you want to team up with into your lobby and then start searching. People in the same lobby will automatically be on the same side.

I definitely noticed a change to the ragdolling. They carry momentum and the comically keep going after you clap them in the head.

best operation so far? i really love the new content.... seems like valve listened to the community.. i hope the mission will have more of those co-op missions, where you go with a friend against bots in those long levels.. they were pretty fun

I have most definitely witnessed the rag doll change. Earlier in a compgame I one tapped a guy on cat with a deag and he did a full flip. I wish I recorded it tbh

Hey Philip, if you take a look at the new agents in a follow-up video could you mention that the Trapper and Trapper Aggressor have male voices on female character models? Csgo doesn't look like it has a bug reporting feature, nor anybody would probably care for this nitpick but it's driving me crazy.

For instance, every week you can earn a maximum of 6 stars, but if do all missions (for example 8 stars), I won't be getting those 2 extra ones right? We can only get the maximum number allotted for that week

ARMS RACE UPDATE :DDD though I'm kinda sad the old order is gone. I suppose the new order makes sense so it's harder to get so many streaks of random kills because Snipers and Rifles are in the middle, but the healthshot is so good. I already got the "win without dying" achievement on a mostly empty server but this now makes it way more possible.
