I hate that fake enthusiasm! More than that, I really dislike these instructors who try so hard to incorporate comedy into the lessons. It's so distracting.

This is hands down the best Informational & Educational channel for IT on youtube. Thank you for the content and I wish you will keep pumping videos forever and help us understand the world better ! I was wondering how come CSMA/CD doesn't cause a noticeable delay cause on my Router I could have at times two computers over ethernet that are both downloading large files but I don't get any significant delay on page loads for example ?

CMSA is not used on modern networks...only older (half duplex) networks. I'm sure you're running a modern (full duplex) network.
@arrudeboy
@arrudeboy 5 жыл бұрын
@@PowerCertAnimatedVideos Hi, sorry about my ignorance, but I can't understand why full duplex makes CMSA not usable. I had had think that it was due to incoming switches on LAN's, then the cables now are dedicated by node and there not exists colision posibility. Sorry for my English too
@Douglas_Gillette
@Douglas_Gillette Жыл бұрын
@@arrudeboy Imagine you have a computer connected to another computer. Let's call them Computer A and Computer B. Today, there is one category 6 twisted pair cable between them. It looks like one cable but actually inside the cable are lots of wires. Some of those wires are used for communications. There are some exclusively for data in one direction starting from computer A and destined for computer B. Other wires are used for data starting now at the B computer going to A. Information only travels in one direction on these cables. Before this, data traveled twoways on a single wire. Imagine a one-lane bridge over a stream. If two cars approach the bridge at the same time in opposite directions, then one car has to wait, or else they will collide. This is what CSMA/CD is. When you have two lanes on a bridge exclusive for each direction, then one of the cars does not have to wait to avoid a collision. Both cars can go at the same time. Because the full-duplex is separate lanes for traffic going each way, CSMA/CD is not necessary. Email me if you need more explanation dgillette@etprofessionals.com
