what are the flatbeds after the coil cars used for? From the paint discoloration it looks like maybe they haul hot steel slabs?

Steel slabs are usually on the southbound trains and the northbound trains have coils on them

Very impressive for just 2 locomotive, each roll must weigh 30000 lbs, any better guess?

Yeah that is impressive train I’ve seen it with DPU and general freight cars attached to it
