CTA 'L' - 2200s and 1-50 Series Cars at the Illinois Railway Museum (IRM) - 07/05/2020

4 жыл бұрынWe're back to "L" action, but this time at the Illinois Railway Museum. IRM has begun preparations after the stay at home order to safely reopen to the public, following public health guidelines as far as social distancing and keeping its fleet disinfected after each run.
Here we see 2200s being moved onto another track in Barn #6, plus a cab ride. 1-50s car #30 is being tested for its Automatic Train Control (ATC) system as part of its regular inspection.
IRM reopens to members only July 18th-19th and to all visitors July 25th-26th.

2200s were my favorite ones I have a brass model of them I found on ebay

On the 2200s, you can see where the door controls were originally located before the cars were modified for OPTO.

The fact that the older cars still use the high-speed pan. Would think that it would mess with the frogs, but if it works, then ok then LoL

@@quincexl1279 it's still a Toronto streetcar, but a more modern one until recently replaced by newer models so you're still good lol
