Great video! Does the Ctek Sense cause any amp draw on the battery in the idle state with bike off? (Parasitic Draw...?). Thanks

Hi, thanks for your kind words. The information provided by the app is pretty limited, TBH. You can see a graph of how the % charge goes up & down, but that's about it. I actually have 2: one on my CB500X and one in my van. The bike, which I use a lot more often, seems to be constantly at 100%, while the van's battery varies between about 70 and 90%, despite having a solar trickle charger connected 24/7. Hope this helps a little :)

1 mA according to CTEK. It is listed in the FAQs on their site. So it drains the battery by about 0.75 Ah a month.

Also, why is it important to enter the Ah capacity of the battery in the App? This unit only registers voltage which can be related to the State Of Charge (SOC) of the battery and is in no way an indication of the health of the battery. The latter can only be determined by a load and capacity test. I mean if a fully charged AGM battery is 12.9V, it is that whether it is a 10 Ah or 90 Ah battery. If anything, the App would need you to select the type of battery because each of them have slightly different fully charged voltages....FLA, AGM, GEL, Lithium.

@@RocketMan_Moto love your channel so honest, what a refreshing change, just ordered one , im in the process of putting a second battery system on my hilux , a bluetooth voltmeter with a bit of history could be perfect, saves having to mount a voltmeter somewhere and wire it in.

I’ve used the CTEK LED pigtail on all my bikes for several years now and can definitely say it drops from green to orange ONLY when the bike hasn’t been ridden for a long time, the temperature drops in the my unheated garage and I don’t plug in the CTEK charger. They’re all conventional batteries though. Thanks for keeping the channel classy without begging for likes and subscriptions 😀 unfortunately you’re going to have to change soon if you need to break even for all the time and effort you put in to the videos. Also sorry to hear the Rocket was disappointing. Why don’t you test ride one after they become widely available to see if your feelings have changed.

Thanks for the info. As for begging for Liked & Subs, I really hope I never have to go there. Avoiding ‘merch’ is also a personal goal, lol. Ride safe😊
