Hi , thanks for this video, and for Kontak 7 video in Cubase 12 , you did help me and now i play with Kontak 7 in Cubase and can add more VST in One Kontakt and open the mixer very nicely . keep it and nice to see you Jef 🙏👍

Really interesting stuff - but you sound a little under-the-weather? Cube reminds me of AniMoog Z and even u-He Zebra, which had 2 x/y controls to give you patches in each corner. I think it takes some investment to wrap your brain around the cube concept. Not sure I’m ready.

Yeah had a cold... wasn't a good week! It definitely takes some playing around to understand it, to me it's a great place to start if you just want some evolving ambient type patches that sound great. Once you dig in a little it's fairly straightforward.

You've talked me into this one. One question --- have you worked much with Cube, adding your own wavs/sounds into the various corners? I know from previous videos that you have done some sound capture/sound design of your own.

@@jefgibbons Not as far as I know. The TRS80 was pretty much obsolete by the time Midi came about. In terms of 8bit computers used in music, I've seen the Apple II and the BBC Micro used, but I don't know if they were via midi or some CV-gate interface.

This has been out for years now I know what it initially came out it was so overhyped and way expensive I think it was like $250 you can do most if not everything with all the kontact instruments that have been out there for years already. I see they are still adding expansions to it which is great but it doesn't really offer anything that you can't get with other tools wasn't worth the price in my opinion.
