3:11 for this one, you dont need to solve it into the checker state, so what you can do is that you seperate the pieces (like one entire set of opaque pieces on the 2 bottom layers and 2 translucent pieces on the 2 top layers) and then just make it into the pattern!

Checker pattern does not work on even numbered cubes like the 4x4x4, 6x6x6, 8x8x8 etc

@@tougharms in one of Z3Cubing's video's, he messes around with force cubes and other force puzzles and takes half and half of a green and blue 4x4 and puts it together so its half green and half blue. As someone who lives in an area that is regularly less than 70 degrees F this time of the year the rubik's phantom is actually an interesting challenge especially if done outside because it just mostly stays black and rarely shows much color

Am I crazy, or does the last puzzle where it’s glued in the corner sound like an interesting idea? Especially if you use it for a two cube challenge; you’d save a second off your time because you’re already holding the second cube. The cube would need to be built stronger, obviously, but the idea has merit.

The 1x1 cubes are so stupid and I love them. Yeah they may be useless and a complete waste of 3 dollars, but I love owning dumb stuff like that. I have a couple of these in my collection and they definitely deserve a spot on my nerd corner. My nerd corner is just a shelf with rubik's cubes, programming books, computer parts, etc. I just keep that stuff in the corner of my room. So I named it "The nerd corner"

You can solve the checkerboard by solving it layer by layer (you can alternative between the two colors or solve the together) once you got that you just put it into the checkerboard pattern
