Amazing video, man, i am dazzeld with your work👏👏👏 . One thing your series helped me think as I was worldbuilding was how racial specificities in dnd helps a Dungeon Master to create culture from zero. Other then the basic stuff about the races in dnd, i like, as many DMs, to create my own origins for everything in my world, and of course, this affects culture. When i see the atribute boost in the races and the abilites they have or they DON'T HAVE (looking at you, humans), i can brainstorm a little and think of new ways to show these cultures to my players. . I think a lot about how elves basically only need 4 hours of sleep a day, can work normally a lot more time then other races and most people treat it like nothing special. You talked on the video about how New York is a 24/7 like city, it never stops, now think with me, who would be more capaple of making a "New York" in a DnD world, humans or elves? It all depends of how you treat the culture around those abilities, the potencial is there and as a DM, is totally reachable. . Tieflings resistence to fire could make them "dwarf level" forgers in special metals that need a lot of heat to melt. . Forest Gnomes would absolutely be vegetarians or vegans, people don't like to even think of eating things that could talk back, imagine being able to compreend the language your "prey" talks, it would make killing something even worst than it already is. . Can Dragonborn babies use their breath already or it arrives with maturity? How a culture takes care of populations with poison gas sprays or flamethrowers on there mouths? The materials they use to build everything should in theses have some resistence to there breath weapon to avoid accidents. . Is subcommon a written language like braille alphabet to help read in the darkness, thus acommodading better blind people? Experienced Drow can cast Darkness naturally, would these make locals avoid walking on the streets with valuables to prevent robbery or would the rich walk with minions, constructs or strong pets with keen senses to overcome the lack of sight? Probably police forces are trained in blindsight combat for these reason. . The potencial to make amazing worldbuilding is there, we only need to think outside our "human box", even if we need to use our human paremeters only to break them during the process.
