Day was a true pioneer of public television: co-founder of KQED in San Francisco, president of WNET upon the merger of National Educational Television (NET) and television station WNDT/Channel 13, and most recently, Chairman of the CUNY TV Advisory Board. The series features fascinating interviews with notable cultural and political figures conducted in the mid 1970's. (Taped:11/20/73)

For me he was the greatest actor of all times .....the way he puts his soul into a movie is remarkably natural.thats what separates good actors from great actors .

I’m as an Egyptian, when I saw tuco first time in 1968 . I would say you did touch a lot of people’s hearts internationally. Now I’m 65 and still watching tuco .❤️👍👍

Eliiiiiiiii , you are a master of your craft I just can not get enough of “ TUCO “ I hate you , I love you and that was Mr Eli at his best I never thought that’s Eli making me believe that tuco was real and all throughout the movie I wanted to tell him how I hated some of his scenes, he is that good , and I say he is , cause to me no one can ever take that away from him , great actor , thank you Mr Eli for all you done (did ) for my entertainment love every second of it .

Who could believe this gentleman is Tucko...imagine back then sitting next to him having a quality conversation and realising that he is Tucko!

A truly lovely man , a brilliant actor , superb in his films as an actor , and loved him in the good bad and the ugly , but saying that I dont think he is ugly what so ever it was just the name of the film . x

What an actor! What a legend! Tucko would teach Jonny Depp. He would be the father of Jack Sparrow! This man as Tucko reminds me of Jack Sparrow but in steroids of acting!

Gian Maria Volonte was a talented actor but Eli had a lot of sense of humour. As a matter of fact, both are great to portray vilain.

Louis Napoleon Nelson, wrong!--WHAT?? Really, what difference does it make? The guy was a marvelous actor. Isn't that all that matters? That's why he's on the show, not to critique his opinion of sergeants in the military.
