Ever since we put this cookie in our London Soho Bakery, you guys have been salivating for it. It's finally here! A dark double chocolate chip cookie, laced with Oreo crumble, white chocolate chips, 54% chocolate chips, filled with a molten creamy white chocolate filling. We love these cookies because they're thick, ooey, gooey and that perfect balance between a crisp outer and a dense, soft, almost underbaked centre.
Our Cookie & Cream Cookies will be in store all this week, so come by and grab one, or a few!

INGREDIENTS:
12 tbsp White Chocolate Spread
230g Cold, Chopped Butter
160g Light Brown Sugar
160g Caster Sugar
300g White Chocolate Chips
100g Dark Chocolate Chips
50g Crushed Oreo Crumbs
300g Plain Flour
130g Self Raising Flour
70g Black Cocoa Powder
1 tsp Sea Salt
2 tsp Baking Powder
2 Eggs
1 Egg Yolk
50g Crushed Oreo Cookies for Rolling

My husband surprised me with a trip to London a couple of weeks ago, because he knows what a massive fan I am of Jemma & everything C&D. I bought loads of brownies, cookies etc and they were all HEAVENLY! I will definitely be making some of my own, now that I have a copy of the recipe book 🥰

I had such a wonderful experience in your shop, Jemma! I couldn’t quite believe I was actually there! When my husband took a pic of me outside, he said you’d think I was meeting someone famous! Well, you are my celebrities! I bought a creme egg brownie, a cornflake brownie, a red velvet cupcake, a mini-egg cookie, a chocolate cookie & some rocky road. I have to say that they were all to die for! Thank you so much for all the hard work you & your team put into making these little slices of heaven and for putting smiles on faces of people like me! I just hope my husband is aware that this has to now be an annual event! Sending lots of love 🥰

It is insane how serendipitous this is! This afternoon, I am making chocolate mint NY style cookies for a friend at work. I'll be using the double chocolate cookie recipe in the cookbook (using part chocolate chips and part Andes), but I was contemplating making a filling by adding a little mint oil and green coloring to melted white chocolate to put in the center. Now, to figure out how to make white chocolate spread...

@CricketsBay , thanks! My guess is that's Marks & Spencer? If so, I'm in the States, so we don't have it here (at least not in the Chicago suburbs). I ended up making a white chocolate ganache then added a little peppermint oil and light green color gel. It worked really well!

In the US, Target has a white & dark chocolate spread that would probably work pretty well. I also saw just white chocolate spread on Amazon, but more pricey than Target.

Target, Amazon, and sometimes Wal-Mart sell the white chocolate spread in the U.S. M&S online baking supplier sells it too. Asda sells it in the UK.

I just looked up the Amoretti brand and it says it contains sugar, palm oil and milk (& dry milk)…seems the only difference in the white chocolate and the spread is the milk factor. What brand do you use and is it less sweet than just white chocolate?
