R D, Thanks for visiting. So, you would not like to make an offer. : ) Fair enough. (this house went into contract in 13 days. (average for Cupertino in the current conditions) In the last 60 days, another Eichler in Cupertino sold for $2,435, 000. $1606/sq ft. This house was on the market for 2,448,000. $1614/sq ft. The Cupertino market commands a premium price, for it's proximity to Apple AND for the top rated High School. If you are interested in Eichlers in the Silicon Valley, we can look at less expensive neighborhoods. But then again, it is still the Silicon Valley. So while they are "less expensive" they are still not "suburban Mid-West" prices.

I don’t live in the mid west. I live in the Bay Area, and have lived here all my life. 40 years. I lived in the Silicon Valley 20 years ago. It’s not worth it. No matter how anyone tried to spin it. Proximity to Apple means nothing, and there is a reason why people are leaving the area. There is absolutely no justification for a home of that price, I’m sorry. I know you have to make a living, I get it. But I’m speaking from a place of reality. Best of luck.

Its worth it to the person who purchased it.. I do think the house is overpriced by at least $800k to $1million. $1.4 million seems very reasonable for an Eichler anywhere in California but I do agree there is no damn reason why this house is $1million more than the very same Eichlers in Palm Springs-City of Orange-Northridge California.. For $2.4 million, one can buy a super modern larger house in Studio City California..

The price reflects the average salary in the area and supply and demand. What no new housing means is, what else is left over goes to the highest bidder and on and on it goes
