I grew up eating spam lol and it wasn’t until I got older that I found out that people considered it a “struggle meal”. And like you said most haven’t even tried it so they don’t even know how good it is and how many dishes you can make with it. It wasn’t even until videos like this showcasing the use of spam in other cultures that I realized you can do more with spam then make a sandwich lol. Growing up it was pan fried spam, on white bread with cheese, Mayo, ketchup and mustard.

The squid is meant to be salty as you're meant to eat a very small amount with plenty of rice, so I had a heart attack when you picked up so much like they were noodles! 😂

Exactly! I think a Korean friend would have been helpful. Ban Chan is meant to accompany rice, not generally eaten on its own, which is why it’s usually quite salty. And the fermented squid is especially salty. A tiny amount is eaten with a spoonful of rice.

SPAM is junk food.....but I find myself eating it a few times a year. My Air Force dad got me hooked as a child. I am on the "like" SPAM side but its a walk down memory lane mostly.❤️

We have an H-mart where I live! It has some pretty great stuff and the veggies are usually better than the ones you get in standard stores

I'm really happy to see you doing some cooking videos, it's always good to have access to recipes from someone who knows how they should taste. I do miss your travel vids, but hopefully things will get back to safe some day. I've yet to have good Tayaki, I really just need to have it fresh from some stand, but I'm not sure where to find one where I live. The first time I had it was at my favorite Sushi place & it was really oily, the 2nd time, it was cold from the deli case at one of our Asian groceries. Very disappointing. How similar is Korean Fried Chicken to Japanese Karrage? Anyway, thanks for the shares! If you ever come to Seattle, you MUST visit the Seattle Uwajimaya, it has a food court, an amazing deli section & it even has a book store.

I went to some H marts in Queens and nearby Nassau. When my daughter was visiting from LA I took the family to the H Mart in Jericho. It was the first big H Mart I had been to. My daughter said it compared to the ones near her and she lives in Koreatown. There are different items from store to store but we all had a great time getting new things. I loved your food reviews (honestly I normally trust your judgement as I think we generally liked the same flavors).

Hmart has definitely expanded!! I remember working for their sister company and it being much smaller. Of course, they changed the name to Hmart too.

The closest H-Mart to me is in the next state over but I used to shop there when I lived near one. It's changed a lot since then. I love Asian food and have been looking for somewhere to find the things you just can't get at a regular grocery store.

H-Mart in Atlanta is my favorite shop. I learned about green onion pancakes, Pomelos, and shrimp crackers so far. Have yet to hit up the food court because it's soooooo packed every time.

In my hmart there was a little mom and pop restaurant that made awesome homemade korean food. Small menu but all their food was SO GOOD! Sadly, they closed earlier this yr :( I am so sad bc that was my go to spot anytime I went to hmart. It wasnt that far from my house either.

I love carbs too! Especially pastries of all kinds. Your H Mart definitely has a wider selection than the ones in my area (Vancouver). I just bought bough a Dash griddle and would love to see a vlog of frozen h mart items that would fit (4" or less).

LOVE that marinated squid..!! The ones I have tried have a texture of a more dried squid though. LOVE IT..! LOVE kimbap and jap chae and of course kalbi/bulgogi..

Love H-Mart! Chapaguetti noodles are amazing, Roasted barley or roasted rice flavored teas are sooo good. Lemon honey is amazing too. We constantly shop there. Always discovering fantastic products at H-Mart, which have become a staple in our home. H-Mart in Hicksville, Long Island is ginormous! I will definitely try fry chicken which you made us crave for lol. As always, great video TJ 👏❤

If you're around NYC take the 4 subway to Woodlawn. Then hop on the 0020 bus & you can go to the H Mart Yonkers at one bus stop & the H Mart Hartsdale at another bus stop. They both have food courts but the Yonkers one is newer. I like to pick up a bag of Haioreum Kimchi Dumplings from the frozen isle when I go to H Mart. They're almost always on sale & a great addition to soup.

Wish I lived near a H-Mart. Looks like a lot of really good ready to eat items I would love to try. There is a Korean store near me but pretty much just have groceries but they do have a homemade kimchi that is so awesome. There was a little takeout place in the store that I tried Korean food for the first time and the chicken is so good. They have since moved out of the store to their own spot. They have 4 flavours of fried chicken and the honey butter is my favorite. I have tried almost everything on their menu at one time but the chicken is my favorite. Mogo juice is awesome I like the coconut and mango best. I can get those little fish shaped cakes at an Asian store near me and they are filled with all kinds of filling. I love your little cooking short and there are some I want to try out. Love your outfit today you look absolutely stunning. Keep smiling and stay safe
