I had a Walgreens manager try to shame me for diving today and then she insisted that what I was doing was illegal…..she got mad when I told her that she was wrong and that the several PD officers that I’ve encountered while diving have never told me I was doing something illegal! She told me I needed to get a life and I told her she needed to get a heart! I said that I couldn’t believe she was so adamantly defending all the needless waste her store creates and how they could refuse to give their “trash” to those who so desperately need it! 😤😡🤦🏻‍♀️ I usually don’t let ignorant people get to me but today her smug condescension was more than I was prepared to take!

I've had store managers threaten to call the police ... I just smile and inform them that it is not unlawful (where I live) to dumpster dive, but HOWEVER, out of honoring their request, I politely leave. It is THEIR dumpster and they do have the right to tell you to leave. If you don't and they call the police, the police will tell you the same. It's good to leave without chancing a "warning" because then that will mean if the police are called and they find that you were warned and came back; you could be fined for "trespassing"...I'm just shocked with everything bad going on in the world; these stores will stop wasting the police time and let them focus their energy in stopping "real" crimes! Keep safe all you dumpster divers!! 🤩

I had a guy bust me I waited about an hour or so went back he caught me again and grabbed the bag I had with goodies said he"d call the police. Guess he'd rather see it all go to the dump. That's an Ahole for you

When Stacey finds dog food or items her excitement is contagious. Doesnt take much to make her happy and I love it. If I could do it Id be the same way! How much do your pups eat a week anyway? My dogs are 9 and 11 pounds and they eat their fair share but its still less than my 23 pound fatty cat eats. Its great to watch you folks. I have officially watched every single one of your available videos. Thats what four years worth? Now Im heading over to junkies adventures to see you there. Use the clear plastic bins to organize the cabinets and all. Pantries. They are the big thing now. Look up organizational videos. They can be very expensive. Plus I love the way they turn out. Knowing you all dive and get a lot of things food wise in and out of original boxes you can use to keep the individual items displayed and filled at all times without the boxes

My husband and I got lucky about a week ago we checked one dumpster that we had driven by early in the day and saw it was stacked way above the top and found unopened 70 rolls of toilet paper 30 rolls of paper towels, 8 huge packs of napkins, 35 12 count packs of large solo cups , a case of Clorox dish soap, a case of mens body wash , plus three milk crates full of random other cleaners and two crates of shampoo, hand soaps and regular body wash’s, plus toys , dog supplies, beach towels and totes full of random decorations and dishes. And 24 packs of feminine products. Plus more. We are still handing it out.

You can use those plastic bins for your pantry to put bags of mashed potatoes or knorr rice sides boxes of raisins Capri sun etc etc etc Petty loved her life jacket and I had a blast watching them fight over the bag o balls.

Just a heads up. Be careful. I used to work at Marshalls and sometimes we would put long shards of glass from mirrors and display cases that broke. If you jump in you could get impaled by glass or metal sticking up.

Rolls of wet paper towels will dry out. They're not as good for hygiene sensitive tasks but just fine to clean grime and in most cases will still be usable for cleaning windows etc.

I can see where they might be upset from a safety liability stand point especially if you are inside the dumpster and not everyone has good intentions that may be dumpster diving but if you are being respectful of their property not making a mess and able to reuse things and keep it out of the landfill they shouldn't be too upset.

You wouldn't believe the stuff people throw away. We have found guns, gold jewelry, antiques , a hoover vacuum with attachments it worked. We used to go behind food lion and get tons of fresh meats, one day off fresh date,we got steaks,chops, chicken,hams sandwich meat, we stuff our freezer full then give it to friends and family, we found seven spiral sliced hams, perfect.We sold a few of them. We have fun going on these treasure hunts. We also go behind salvation army stores also,we have found lots of good stuff in them too. Gold jewelry, name brand shoes, and clothes. Happy treasure hunting.!

That is a flotation device for a dog. I sold one last year on Ebay for a small breed that I found in the dumpster. 😃They sell very well...but NOW is the time (while Summer is still here!). NICE!! 🐶🐶

Seeing those dogs all trying to play with the bag of dog balls has to be one of the funnier things I've seen in a while. Dumpster dude wanted to play cop.(sure buddy) It's one thing if it's an insurance liability issue, but taking trash is legal if you're not making a mess and not digging in a residential can. Not sure of the laws here but most dumpsters are locked. re: willow - the bark contains about the same compounds as aspirin. Natives used it as a painkiller.

would be good if you took a pan with you on your routes so you could more easily scoop up the dry dog food when you find they have thrown it out of the slashed bags. willow is used for pain as certain varieties have some salicin (ingredient in aspirin) in them.

It could be insurance reason he was mad.i learned years ago how to gain access to a lot of dumpsters including locked ones.i went to the store and asked if owner or manger was there.i then interdecuse myself and explain what I wanted to do.at the electronics store I showed them a KZfaq video of a very good scraper , scraping out electronics and what was done with everything.i then did it to other stores and would show video geared towards their store.when I was done I would say with allowing me to enter your property and dumpster I can save you money on trash bill.i only had one store that not allowed me to do it or give me a key and letter stating I was allowed in it.i found out it was just the manger who was mad at the world.when I found out she retired I went back dressed nicely and talked to new manger who contacted the owner.i was called back few days later to meet the owner who said he talked to manger and I put on my program and showed him all the letters I had to allow me In other dumpster.i was granted access that same day.thats been 8 years ago now and have not lost access to any them

It fascinates me all that you find in the trash. In New Zealand where I live it’s illegal to remove things from company’s dumpsters. Most companies are super good about gifting to charities and there are even charities who have deals with supermarkets to collect from them.

I will never understand why anyone gets mad for taking something someone else threw away in the trash. I mean obviously they didn’t want it so why get mad. These businesses just right this stuff off and then throw it away so who cares if someone else takes it and can use it. I just will never understand. Awesome video like it always is. You guys are the best.

Those hooks could be used for a lot of things. The clear bucket things are great for planting thing. And the look on that guy's face had me laughing cause he acted like nobody should recycle. 😆
