From wikipedia:
Nasua, called coatis or coatis,1 is a genus with two species of small American omnivorous mammals of the procyonid family. It is a social animal and can congregate in groups of more than 50 individuals. It is arboreal. It feeds on insects, reptiles, amphibians, small mammals, as well as fruits and seeds.
They measure between 40 to 140 cm in length, depending on the species. This measurement includes its elongated tail, which alone has a length comparable to that of the rest of the body. Their heights at the level of the withers are very small (rarely more than 30 cm). They have short limbs ending in strong nails that allow them to dig through fairly hard dirt floors, an elongated and pointed snout that provides them with an excellent sense of smell, relatively large eyes and short ears. Their coats have colors that vary from brown to black, including reddish.
