Albert J. Nguyễn you didn't take it from the stone chest so you don't get cursed with greed.only people who steal the coins from the chest are punished.

THE AZTEC GODS 🇲🇽 The Aztec Gods who cursed the 882 gold pieces delivered to Cortes (the cursed treasure that transformed Barbossa and his pirates into skeletons, in the moonlight) were: Chantico: Goddess of fire and protector of treasures. Xiuhtecutli: God of fire, husband of Chantico. Huitzilopochtli: God of war. Tezcatlipoca: The god of the night.

I would've assumed that, given that Barbossa and his crew were, as Barbossa said "not part of the living, so they cannot die, but neither were they dead," that another Aztec God who would've had a hand in that curse would be Mictlantecuhtli, the Aztec God of the Dead, and possibly his wife, Mictecacíhuatl

@@muttproductions2536 That would make sense as his face is on the medallion

They were suffering, imagine being the thirstiest you've ever been, now imagine never being able to quench the thirst. Imagine being hungry and never being able to fill your belly. Or horny without ever being able to satisfy that feeling. Being human and feeling something would be better then being immortal and not feeling anything good.

Why Barbossa needs a Turner's blood to break the curse?
@Stormkrow280 Жыл бұрын
The way I understood it is that ALL the Pirates who took the treasure had to both return all 882 pieces of gold to the chest and make a blood payment, but since they sent Bootstrap to the depths, they couldn’t repay the debt until they found Will, who as Bootstraps son, had his blood in his veins.

the bau treasure have the symbols of the Inca god Viracocha the master of the world, so why is Aztec gold with the Inca empire (Tawantinsuyu) ?
@TheMercerus9 жыл бұрын
Joao Ribeiro Well, I can't answer to that, I've just made a music video from the movies xD

What ? I don't really know how inca gods look like but I know that the simbol of this coins represent Mictecacihuatl , the God of the Death. You can actually find a big sculpture of this God in Mexico City at the anthropology museum and it looks exactly at the ones we saw on this coins .

That's an Aztec symbol.not Incan.

@MatsVederhus4 жыл бұрын
alexfithero it is real, except the movie actually greatly undersells how much gold was to be paid in ransom for Athahualpa’s life. Let’s just say, it was considerably more than 882 gold pieces...
