Morning Sam...Stephen! Lovely surrounds, nice blue sky and plenty of sunshine. Know nothing about drugs, apart from booze, but you paint a good picture of how things used to be. I'd moved on by the time you're talking about and got myself a proper life. Thanks for the walk and talk...always enjoyable.

Really enjoyable vlog Sam cocky was definitely on the rich list his wealth was supposedly anywhere between 250and 400 million.having read his book and watched many documentaries I was shocked when he and his crew had arsenal of weapons including sleeping with hand grenades under their pillows when living in Holland.who knows if he can adjust to normal life when released.respect as always Sam.

Nostalgia! The days when you could skive school, go into a shop in your school uniform and in the deepest voice you could..... "Ten Lambert & Butler Please" Local shop used to have a tin on the counter with 6 or 7 single cigs in for sale 25-50p each depending on the brand. John Palmer was on the rich list first I think. I’m 53…loved the Blackburn parties and Manchester scene. As you say, very little violence in dance clubs. Before them, you were guaranteed there’d be a couple of scraps in normal clubs where booze was the only drug. That said I was in the Hacienda when everyone was leaving, the bouncers kicked off with a rival gang…pretty spectacular. And I was in a car sat outside another club one Friday night when there was a drive by - couple of shots from a shotgun at bouncers outside Millionaires.

When i started on the doors i was still underage,i got the job by being stuck in between two pissed up groups trying to kill each other back in the late 80's and i had to pick a side to negotiate with.. I never paid for another pint that night and worked the doors on two pubs for a long time and to be honest when E's came along everyone gave a sigh of relief because it went from an all out battle every ten minutes to being hugged all night.. Talk about surreal.. I'm not that far off the big 60 and i've never taken drugs apart from prescription, drink and baccy but i had a drink spiked a long time back and still to this day can't remember atleast a week but i lost more than that as apparently i tried killing someone so got my arse kicked.I only found out later on it was spiked as i'd never taken drugs before. In all honesty though i know a lot of dealers in illicit drugs are scum but who looks at the pharmaceutical sector?,hardly anyone and they are the real true scum yet they poison people daily and legally. So who are the real criminals in this world and it isn't the dealer on a street corner or the person buying it.

Huge respect for this channel. Drugs are commodities and, like any other commodity, they are subject to the laws of supply and demand. The demand is huge and, as people are starting to realise, addiction is rooted in trauma and this trauma inspires demand, when it comes to addiction. People can be addicted to anything. We need to understand addiction for what it is and treat it as such: a public health issue. Respect to the channel and all that want to see a better world. As for Warren, he's done his time and he will make a killing via entering the KZfaq game! Or merely writing his memoirs - who that is interested in these topics wouldn't buy a copy? Hopefully he has reformed and will come out and offer his insights into the state of affairs, based on his experiences. I can't see him trying to catch up with the drug game, but he doesn't need to. There is a huge market for voices such as his, and he could probably sit back and get paid for offering his thoughts if he wanted to.

I really respect your point about what makes people addicts in the first place very good and true point of what should be getting addressed and about how people use prescription drugs drink even self-harm to challenge those things., what I also think is an issue is the way the law has gone out of control and how the law turns around and invents numbers invents figures blinds the jury's with science forensic lies also backing it up as well because when they set a figure that they want someone to give back it's an exaggerated figure it's a guarantee that it's been multiplied by a minimum of 50% more than it should be¡ the amount of people that are incarcerated falsely a wrong for amount of times and they're all in for manslaughter but they all get convicted for murder all it is is one big pantomime to the police and prosecution and they're perpetuating the problem add on top of that sadistic prison staff it's just a never-ending cycle keeping people paid. ¡ you seem a very amicable person Sam I would appreciate if you could direct message me so that we could have a discussion please kind regards

100% I'm an addict, have been for decades, it's not an easy life.... But it is what it is, but you can't necessarily blame certain individuals... It's on a larger scale than that, there's always going to be a Curtis Warren....or whoever, if they legalised it and kept on top of its quality! I think you would see a decline in crime... It's simple

Criminalisation is useless. Too many people in high places will keep "drugs" ILLEGAL. They learnt their lesson during US prohibition. And NEVER again will they miss that opportunity.

Really intriguing insightful perspective as always I've seen news articles on this individual his story is Very intriguing I believe BBC radio 5 are doing a series on him ahead of his prison release in November agree with you on What you said on supply and demand there will be someone to fill the power vacuum left by the previous person will be interesting to see how mr Warren adapts to the outside world if he is granted parole It's lovely to see Stephen again thank-you for doing What you do take care best regards to your family

Yes you are correct. I was just listening to a podcast last night about him. I think it must be the BBC R5 that you mentioned. I listened to the first episode and fell asleep during the second episode. It’s a good series all about his life definitely worth a listen to if your into your true crime. Which to be fair you wouldn’t be on here if you didn’t like true crime lol. 🤦🏻‍♂️

If you've just done a 20 stretch, I seriously doubt he'll go back to doing what he was. He'll be well away from the drugs if he does do anything. I suspect he's still got money.

I'm from Liverpool and to have a name as infamous as his is difficult to "achieve" here (and I don't say that with any sense of pride or adulation either). Liverpool is a working class, anti-establishment city and as a result; it encourages a certain type of behaviour, so it has its fair share of young tearaways and being a coastal city that faces the America's, drug importation is huge here. I've travelled all over the country and nowhere apart from certain areas of London is as rife with drugs and drug dealers as Liverpool, so to climb Liverpools drug hierarchy and surpass the competition here to the heights he did is nothing short of astounding. I hope he doesn't fall back into it, it's no coincidence Liverpools worst period of crime, violence and drug use/addiction was when he was at his peak
