You sure did, it's based on a descending harmonic progression, an extremely pleasant scheme to the ear and a VERY common one in pretty much any genre. Check out Tricky's "Hell Is Around The Corner", Funkadelic's "I'll Stay" or any version of "Feeling Good". Or even try singing the refrain of Adele's "Skyfall" over the refrain of this song, you'll be surprised ;)

About 3 weeks ago I was listening to Tricky and finally found where he (Portishead etc) sampled the loop from - after 20 years or so...
