The BYD Dolphin is a battery-powered hatchback produced by BYD Auto, a Chinese manufacturer, since 2021. It has a futuristic design with sharp lines, flowing contours, and front and rear lights inspired by dolphins breaching the ocean. The Dolphin also has a large trunk, vegan leather seats, and a panoramic sunroof.
The Dolphin comes in two models, standard and extended, which differ in battery size. The standard model has a 45kWh battery with a range of 340km, while the Dynamic model has a kerb weight of 1,506 kg, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 12.3 seconds, and has a driving range of 410 km. The Premium model has a kerb weight of 1,658 kg, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.0 seconds, and has a driving range of 490 km.
The Dolphin has a number of safety features, including:

Adaptive Cruise Control with Automatic Emergency Braking System
Front and Rear Collision Warning
Blind Spot Monitoring
Traction Control System
Intelligent Power Brake System

Hello Carguru sir, I am currently using Ecosport Diesel and want to change car after 6 months. My running is 120kms daily in city plus highway conditions. And I am comfortable with manual driving. People who are buying EVs today are, to be harsh, Guinea Pigs . EV technology will evolve so much over next few years, that current EVs would appear 1st gen experimental cars. More range, shorter charge times, and increased life of the battery, that all will become mainstream with newer technologies like solid state batteries over the next 5 to 7 years. As of today it's either petrol or if are willing to invest more (particularly if the in city drive is above 100 km) one may go in for hybrid. That's the bitter truth IMHO
