For those who are asking about Jeep Wrangler and Suzuki Hybrid 1. Suzuki See the reason we haven't added the hybrid engine under Suzuki is because this hybrid powertrain is developed by Toyota, and to keep the game fair we decided to not include that hybrid engine under Suzuki and to keep it restricted to Toyota only. similarly, we haven't added any copy pasted cars from Suzuki under Toyota aswell 2. Jeep The reason why we didn't add the Grand Cherokee and Wrangler is that these cars don't belong to this list, I've not included brands like BMW, merc, and Audi because these brands are luxury brands, and just like these brands grand Cherokee and Wrangler are luxury cars with extremely high price points, Just like Jeep Toyota also offers their LC 300 and Vellfire in India however again adding those cars to the list could turn around the whole point of this Video.

Here's my little experience with Tata motors. One day I went for a long drive (Agra to Mathura) and I was driving quite fast. By the time I was returning, my car's Gearbox broke down stuck in a single gear and Service Center took almost a month to fix that, for the first 15 days, not a single work was done on the car. Good thing that I had 2 more cars to continue my work, can't imagine what an average person with a single car will manage that.

Mahindra in fact has 1 more performance engine ready in it's hands, 1.5 L mStallion T-GDi 163 bhp, 280 nm currently not used in any model, expected to launch with XUV 5XO.

I drive an old Hyundai Santro, which is 11 years old, and still it hasn't given any issue. It is about to reach 2lakh kms and still all well and good.

Mahindra 2.0 litre mStallion TGDI engine is my favorite IC engine, even base model scorpioN & XUV700 has such a powerful engine. Torque of 370 NM is better than most diesel engines on offer today.

Hyundai and Kia have superb engines with great refinement and smoothness. I had I 20 Petrol for 12 yrs. Zero issue and simple smooth. Even diesel engines are super smooth

Engine reliability score, petrol engine performance score, long-term maintenance (number of issues & cost of maintenance), repairability, availability of service stations. These should have been the parameters for making an informed car-buying decision. Maybe you can make a separate video about that.

@Biturbomedia, I really the appreciate the video a lot but few observations. 1. Mahindra was given only a half point each for different tunes of a same engine whereas Suzuki got 1 point for the same. 2. Mahindra Thar Petrol comes with 1.5L 4 cyl Turbo with 150 bhp... but in the video it is shown as 2.0L. So, the total engine count for Mahindra should increase by 1 and its also a performance oriented engine, so that score for Mahindra should also increase from 2 to 3.

I believe Mahindra should get 8 in reliability if just talking about engine. Also they are highly tunable

I do not agree with the engine to car model ratio metric. Having many engines by a car brand is foolish in the long run, since developing such different engines and maintaining spares for each of them adds to the cost for the company. Cleverly reusing good and reliable engines is a good strategy by car makers .

The 4 metrics you have used are not weighed correctly. Reliability is contributing most in the score. You should give the reliability score as 7/10 =0.7. Similarly for types of fuels should be like Number should be 1/4 =0.25.

Motor shows me tata itne engines dikhata hai, but market me ek bhi engine available nahi hota unka. Moreover TATA, JLR ki level ki hu reliability pe aa gya hai.

No performance engines for Toyota?! Camry has a 2.5 L naturally aspirated engine that makes 170+ Bhp and 220 nm torque. I've been driving it for the past 2 years now; even though mated to a cvt, it can outprance almost all car brands covered in your review and even some expensive Germans! 0 to 100 kmph ~7 odd secs.

You said Toyota doesn't have performance engine but Camry's strong hybrid can beat the hell out of many Turbos

This is a flawed calculation. Very heavily biased by reliability score. Ideally all aspects of a manufacturer should have almost equal score. So a company having 1 highly reliable engine can beat a company with 3 engines with poor reliability depending on power and fuel type.

Few mistakes. 2 of em that I have noted are 1. Brezza uses 1.5L engine not 1.2L 2. Both petrol engines of 3xo are 3 cylinder
