This is a gorgeous build! Nice one. My one hang up with Pfadfinder is the clearance! Any chance you can speak on your experience? Personally if it could squeeze 42c it is perfect
@StachePower Жыл бұрын
thank you! you can only fit 38mm tires on 700cc wheels but I’ve ran 45mm tires on 650b wheels on this bike!
@dakalla Жыл бұрын
I love the melanzani color that is available, but also thinking about the Erdgeschoss frame. How wide do your 650b tires meassure exactly? Do you think you could add annother 2mm and run a 47mm tire?
@StachePower Жыл бұрын
I sold the bike so I can’t measure the tires but I could definitely add 2mm. also be mindful that the pfadfinder is aluminium and the erdgeschoss is steel
@CsoSly Жыл бұрын
FYI, both frames are steel. Pfadfinder frame is made from high-end Columbus steel tubing, Erdgeschoss is stainless.
@StachePower Жыл бұрын
@@CsoSly lol I was convinced it was aluminum for some reason but oh well!

Beauty of a bike mate 👌. Did you size down on your frame ? I’m between a 52 and a 54

I did size down, I've just grown to like smaller frames

Very nice build! Is there a big Difference in comfort from the 650B to the 700c? I ride a norco section steel which is pretty much the same frame. I ride 650B alloy hunt wheels with 43mm Panaracer Gravelking. With the 43mm the radius is Not as big as a 700C. I think i feel the Vibrations more than with a 700C. I guess a 700C wheel with a 38mm tire would be more comfort. But i dont have the direct comparison. What Do you think? What are your experiences?
@StachePower2 жыл бұрын
in my experience 650b is extremely more comfortable but also much slower. then tires make a difference too but I think that’s more personal taste
@dpaeme Жыл бұрын
@@StachePower Can I ask: how much clearance do you have between tyre and frame with the 650b's & 45mm Cinturato's?
@StachePower Жыл бұрын
@@dpaeme quite a bit, to be honest. I'd say you could fit 48's, maybe even squeeze some 50's in there

Hi thanks for the video. You mention you have a size 50, and I was curious how tall you were? Sizing is always a headache for me as I’m quite between sizes I’m 170 cm with a 81.7 inseam (32 inches). Cheers !
@StachePower Жыл бұрын
hey! I’m not sure about my inseam but I’m 169cm tall. I’m in between sizes 50 and 52 so it depends on if you want a more relaxed (52) or a more aggressive fit (50)
