That's superb work. I always wished that Character Options had made a classic TARDIS interior set (1963-73), or the rarer 'Secondary Control Room' of the mid Tom Baker era. The thing I really wanted though, was from the 1990's 'New Adventures' novels - the TARDIS 'escape pod', the 'Jade Pagoda'. That was such a cool concept. It's shown on a couple of covers: 'Iceberg' by David Banks, and 'Sanctuary' by David A McIntee.

That's excellent. I tried to explain about it so someone on a forum, who obviously did not read, and who called me a liar, despite me referring her to the book covers in question. I have a six year old nephew who has suddenly become fascinated by the TARDIS. Showing him The Doctor's explanation to Leela how the inside is bigger than the outside, satisfied his first question, but then he asked: "How does it go?" Oh dear. Telling him it's just a TV show would get the reply: "Yeees... But how is it meant to work? Daddy said to ask you." Cheers, brother, cheers.

I was 5 when my Dad told me that the console room was actually in the corner of a studio and not in the box, so in my mind, all TV studios had roundels on the walls and that the BBC just built the console and put it in the corner of the room to film with. Odd how the mind works. Though if it wasn't for my Dad telling me this, then I'd have never got into film making and model building!

The client in this instance wanted the toy to look like the TARDIS as seen in Black Orchid, so that required some plastics butchery and a bit of mild modification. The little people's absence is down to the fact that I'd already eaten them by this point. Fee fi fo fum - and all that.

Do you ever think you’ll make a second doctor TARDIS? It’s very similar to Tom bakers/jon pertwees (I think, I’m not an expert of that time of TARDISes). Troughton's TARDIS is the Pertwee / Baker box, just with less damage repair. So technically, I've already made it. I may do that specific variation at some point when I mould and cast up the master tooling that I made a year or so back.

@@G.reviewz It's not really asking too much of them, it's more about market demand for these toys. Sadly these days it's dwindling and companies just aren't willing to risk stocking the items in large quantities like they used to because, like I just said, the market demand is no longer there on the same scale as say 10 years ago. It's quite telling that CO produced an accurate TARDIS prototype and when I saw it, I doubted that it'd ever see the light of day...
