If the foot is weight bearing, even semi so, it has already compensated out the basic anatomical pathology that one is trying to alter with a functional orthotics...IT IS NOT the arch, per se that needs to be moved back to its anatomical mid range: it is the subtalar joint ALONG WITH the locked (maximally pronated) midtarsal joint distal to it.

The problem is due to the alignment of the big toe. Don't buy sole support buy corrector toes!!! Support Sole will only weaken your muscles (The hallucis muscle)

Yes the Flexor Hallucis Brecis muscle!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU, finally someome who understands the root of the problem. My big issue is how do I strengthen it. It just seems like it is not activating even after 2 years of therapy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

true, cause they didn't add some sylicon at the bottom, caus the surface inside the shoes are mostly flat

Not sure if it will help or if it works (lots of comments suggest this does), but it might be worth a shot to try and create your own custom insoles. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jd2IlayrxrXJaGw.html I came across that video, thought it might help and it's cheap to try. There's also other ways, such as 3d printing them but I forgot how the mold of the foot was obtained. But I'm sure KZfaq has a video somewhere. I remember a few years back, there was also a company who sent out a kit to get your foot mold and then you would send it back to them and they would 3D print custom insoles for a fraction of what a podiatrist would charge.
